Absolutely love breakfast at Alpine Village. The food is fresh and so inexpensive! Beautiful view of Lake George is the icing on the cake. Highly recommended!!

Great location, enjoyed the accessibility to the lake and the complimentary kayaks and paddle boards/boats. There's only 2 people doing housekeeping and we had a few complaints. Bring your own sheets if you can. Bring pots if you're going to cook because theirs are old and rusty. Overall, we enjoyed our experience.

When I go on vacation, I like to relax in a quiet, serene environment. Alpine Village is the perfect place! Buildings are a throw-back in time when everything was made in America and made to last. The prices are reasonable and there's always friendly people visit. The Ipish family, Ernie and Lillian, know how to run a business. Breakfast is always a great feast! Nice location with access to lake, pool, beach and walking distance to town.

If I could give this "resort " less than terrible I absolutely would. It is without a doubt the worst place I have ever had the displeasure to stay at. Our week long stay lasted exactly one day and we were charged for a two day stay because "the housekeeper isn't here to clean the room so it can't be rented." When we walked in we were greeted by bug stained kitchen curtains and a leaking sink that had trash bags laid underneath to catch the water. It looked like it had been leaking for quite some time. The dish drainer was caked with mold underneath. The cabin was dark, outdated, and dangerous. The lamp cord had been spliced with another type of wire and then taped together. The pillows were sweat and blood stained, bathroom filthy - someone's long black hair was all over the floor, dead bugs were in the corners of the rooms. The windows couldn't be opened because the screens had large holes in them. The glass in one of the windows was also broken. My daughter and I had to clean the air conditioners that were caked with dust in fear of an asthma attack. When we contacted the owner about the state of the room he said he would have to contact his son-in-law about it. When the son-in-law looked at the room he said, "this is perfectly acceptable. Looks like it's refund time." With that he walked out of the room. I asked him if he really thought it was acceptable and he said our family would have to leave!!!! So, we left... I hope no one else has to go through this.

I would not recommend this for a place to stay. My family and I stayed here this past week. Our bathroom was infested with ants. I couldn’t ever wash my daughters bottles and leave out to air dry because of the ants. Even our tooth brushes had to be put away after every use. The bathroom sink was also leaking badly. The whole side of counter was soaked and the floor would constantly be wet after every use. The beds are hard as a rock. It was like sleeping on the floor. The rooms might have coffee pots but you can’t use them unless you bring your own coffee. The pool was only vacuumed once the entire week therefore by Friday it was full of sand. We brought a electric griddle (one we bring everywhere when we go away) to cook breakfast on. We have never had a issue using it. On our 4th day after finally getting the sink fix we received a rude letter about how it is against their rules to use this. Mind you the owner said it was fine two days prior to it. The rooms aren’t cleaned. Even the ones advertised to have maid services. They literally only bring you new towels and toilet paper. If you stay in a room near lake. Be prepared to lug everything up and down a hill that you packed because there is no way to get your car near your room. I would not recommend staying here. I would look elsewhere.

One of the cooks had COVID and did not wear a mask while making breakfast for guests, they've done this multiple times over summer 2022. They do not wash their bedding, not do they use any actual cleaner or bleach in the bathrooms. I would never ever stay here. It is not safe and it is disgusting. The owner will yell at your kids and act like he does not care at all about your family or your vacation. Be warned!

Alpine Village, truly is, a "hidden gem". I have been coming to Alpine Village with my family for 10 years, 9 summers (which feels unbelievable). We have always been "lake", "rustic", and "woodsy" people and this resort is perfect for those looking for the same. 5-Star hotels are nice, but can never compare to the charm, friendliness, and quaint simplicity of Alpine Village. With lakefront property, a pool, canoes & kayaks to rent, a dock to jump off of into the lake, and other families to talk with; you'll never be bored. But if you want a nice day or night out - it is also close to all the Lake George Area and the Adirondacks have to offer. Not to mention the friendly family who run the establishment, and the best breakfast in town, both of which add to the fantastic experience of staying here. If you're thinking of staying - I highly suggest you do. (Say "hi" to Ernie for us!)

Beautiful stay, cabins are fantastic. Location is ideal, quiet & just a few blocks away from the main strip on Canada St. Cabins have 2 fireplaces, kitchen with microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker. 10 stars.
