Firstly, I want to acknowledge the positive aspects. The company provided a welcoming environment initially, and there were enjoyable aspects such as the office snacks and occasional meals. In the beginning, I found the learning curve valuable for developing skills relevant to my role as an Information Technology Specialist. However, there were some significant drawbacks. Instead of opportunities for growth and learning alongside the team, I often found myself doing minor busy work. The company culture felt exclusive, with certain opportunities seemingly reserved for insiders. Additionally, there were issues regarding language and communication. The use of certain words in the workplace made me uncomfortable, and I felt micromanaged at times, especially in email communications. It seemed every message required unnecessary approval. Moreover, there were challenges with reimbursement processes and unclear directives on tasks. This lack of clarity made it difficult to know where I stood and inhibited my ability to contribute effectively. Ultimately, the lack of growth opportunities and unclear communication led to my termination without much explanation or warning. It was a disappointing experience, especially given the initial promise. On a positive note, I have since found a more suitable role elsewhere, where I feel valued and respected with ample opportunities for growth. Overall, while there were positives to my time at Alpachi, there is certainly room for improvement. I hope this feedback contributes to creating a better experience for future employees.
