This is the only photo I have and need to share to describe this wonderful addition to downtown Syracuse! The Spicy Fried Chicken Bowl with the most incredible sauce ever! I promise you need to try this place ASAP and you can thank you later. Check them out and will not regret it!
Fast, Simple unsophisticated food The place is small with a fee tables where you can eat or wait your take away order. The potatoe croquette is good and filling with a bit of corn inside. The shoyu ramen is ok and the ramen itself is well cooked but the broth lacks the rich chicken or pork flavour that comes from a slow and long boil. Go there when you are hungry and it will be nice.
Very good place for bento! I tried mini bento (chicken cutlet) and combo bento (spicy pork & Karaage). Personally, I liked chicken cutlet and Karaage. They were nicely fried. I am not saying spicy pork is bad. I liked it but it was kind of salty for me. Overall, I am satisfied and willing to come back again!
Best food for the price in downtown. The couple who own this restaurant are super nice. Chef (also the owner) is very friendly and passionate about his work and it shows. Food is great! Better and extremely reasonably priced than other Japanese restaurants in downtown or on Marshall street even though this is technically Japanese Hawaiian. Don't expect a lot of atmosphere but it's a great little place that's clean and well lit. I recommend their katsudon. Shoyu ramen is pretty good too. Their new Miso ramen is excellent. And everything is better with a bottle of Itoen green tea.
My favorite place in downtown Syracuse!! I've been there 4-5 times for 3 weeks. Every menu is "Delicious" and prices are reasonable. Highly recommended!!!
I love this restaurant and the food! Owner is a super nice guy and I really enjoy speaking Japanese with him! He has a wonderful family who help out and provide wonderful service! You won't be disappointed! Sugoku oishii desu!
Amazing bento!! Everything about this meal was perfect. The shrimp tempura was light and crunchy without being greasy at all. The karaage was juicy but still crispy. Proper dark meat with flavor. The miso soup and green salad were better than most I've had in Japan. This is one of the few bentos I've had that I could wholeheartedly recommend to Japanese (and Hawaiian) friends.
The staff is very nice and is a little nice sweet store. However I don’t approve the taste personally, they are too sweet for me and all are mediocre.
