Staff was great, room was great, fun atmosphere. The only thing that could have made it better was working dryers. Everything else was great. There is no complementary breakfast, they do however have food for purchase. I would definitely recommend this place!

Stayed here on our way to the gulf and it could not have been better. Rooms were new and clean. Bar was busy but service was still fast and drinks were fantastic and a fair price. Pool was nice as it is connected to an area with fire pits and comfortable seating to relax in while at the pool (directly outside of the bar).

My organization booked rooms at the Aloft Waco Downtown for a meeting with Baylor, and unfortunately, we had a terrible stay. From the moment we checked in, I felt uneasy because the area surrounding the hotel seemed incredibly unsafe. As a woman traveling alone, I was genuinely afraid to walk to my car at night. While the rooms looked nice at first glance, the quality of the build was disappointing. The toilet in my room wouldn’t flush properly, and the barn door on the bathroom came off its rails, trapping me inside until someone could come and let me out. Additionally, housekeeping wasn’t offered daily, which was inconvenient. Breakfast was another disaster. Technically, it’s not free—you’re supposed to get coupons at check-in, but half of my team never received them. When we asked for the coupons, the lines at the front desk were so long due to only one person handling check-ins, check-outs, and phone calls, that we didn’t even get to order breakfast within the 30 minutes we had allotted. There was also never any coffee available, no matter what time of day, and the water pitcher in the lobby was always empty at night. The atmosphere in the hotel was chaotic. At night, the lobby felt more like a party spot for the employees. One evening, a guy was playing guitar loudly in the lobby, making it impossible for us to have a work conversation. The front desk employee was not only ignoring guests but was also playing guitar and bongos with him. The worst part of our stay was the billing issue. Our stay was extended a few times due to work, and our organization books through a travel agency. However, instead of handling the payment through the correct card, the hotel tried to charge my personal card for the entire stay. When I brought up the issue, they treated me as though I was trying to scam them. The General Manager refused to speak with me directly and instructed his employees to hold my belongings hostage in my room until payment was made, despite having all the necessary details from our travel agency. The mention of calling the police was unnecessarily aggressive and unprofessional, potentially damaging the reputation of my organization. Overall, it was an incredibly disappointing experience. The hotel management’s behavior was unprofessional, the amenities were subpar, and the safety concerns were alarming. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially for business travel.

Positive: The bright colors and decor. The lobby was large so the multiple families in our party could sit comfortably. The first night there was a musician playing in the lobby. It was a nice surprise. The pool area was well gated and extra group seating. Negative: ""

Hotel is in a great location if you are traveling for experience in downtown Waco. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. There was plenty of storage space for everything in the room. Bathroom could fit two people getting ready. TV was placed well so everyone one can see it. Beds and pillows were so soft! Where can I order one for my home? Seriously, after a long hot day at Magnolia Market the bed was a soft cool cloud. I would book this hotel again because of the beds.

Quick stop with the family in Waco. Check-in was extremely quick and efficient. Got our rooms in no time. These were modern and included all the amenities you'd expect. Enjoyable short stay for sure.

If you arrive after midnight the Manager Julio Jordan will cancel your reservation. No matter how much you try to talk to him to explain that your flight was delayed, that it is 1 in the morning and that your kids are tired. He won’t give you a room. Even if customer service talks to him to respect the reservation. He won’t do it. But don’t worry, if this happens to you; customer service will get you a reservation in a better hotel with a great price in a better zone (AC Hotel). This hotel will give you a room, no matter how late you arrived. ||If you booked Aloft through Hotwire make sure to call them. Nelson will help you get a refund for the cancellation, and will offer to book you a hotel if you need. ||If you are traveling late at night, or know you will be, do not book Aloft!

Booked and paid through Expedia, at check in they took my card for a deposit. I ended up being charged twice for my stay. Spoke with manager Julio who seemed reliable at first, he asked me to fill out a form and I would be refunded in 10-11 days. Yeah right, I STAYED THERE IN MAY. It is now almost August and I have not been refunded, Julio has never responded to my emails or calls after our initial conversation. Worst hotel experience I have ever had.
