Aloft Tempe - Hotel in Tempe - 951 E Playa Del Norte Dr, USA

We had a great experience at Aloft! The staff is amazingly friendly and welcoming. The lobby and rooms are clean. There is a workout room with a peloton bike. Easy to get a delicious breakfast in the morning. We have traveled all over the world and in great hotels. Had to book last minute for an emergency and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

After hours of delay flying Frontier. When I arrived there was a nice lady at the desk (Lorenza) who went above and beyond to assist me. She has a sweet calm soft spoken demeanor. Lorenza made checking in process simple and swift and had me sign up for a membership. The location is perfect ( if you’re a fan of In-N-Out) also a dispensary that’s walkable. The hotel offer shuttle to the airport which was perfect. The room was nice and clean, the only thing I disliked was shower pressure and the shower head, only one setting.

Booked and paid for a nite and when I got there was not allowed to check-in. Because of my bank being on-line they told me I couldn't check in. The guy running the show on that day wasnt very nice either. I was gonna try to make sum calls to get this resolved but my cell didn't have much power so I asked to use the wifi, I was using textnow, and got shut down with him being a jerk again. Ended up leaving and I will never book with Aloft hotels again

Enjoyed my stay at the Aloft Tempe. The location is extremely convenient, with easy access to highways, ASU, and nearby amenities. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My room was very clean and well-appointed. Nice cozy lobby, bar, outdoor area, and pool. Convenience store has a wide variety of snacks, beverages, meals, and other essentials for purchase 24/7. There is a bit of noise from the neighboring highway and planes overhead, but it didn't bother me overnight and the hotel provides earplugs if you need them. The one minor disappointment during my stay was the non-functional electric vehicle charging station. All of the Tesla and non-Tesla EV chargers were in poor condition, with busted connectors and wires sticking out (safety hazard?). At least one of the Tesla chargers worked, but the only J1772 charger had a fault. I contacted the charging company listed on the station, who told me that the chargers are owned by the property and the hotel is responsible for arranging maintenance.

Positive: The location was nice and the hotel staff was amazing Negative: I did not like that. Our toilet didn?t work. Our sink didn?t work. The AC didn?t work and they didn?t inform us of the incident hold on the card.

Exceptional hospitality from both the welcome/check in staff and any workers I interacted with here. They made me feel valued as a Marriott customer and were very friendly. The location is excellent and the rooms are nice. There are LOTS of good grab and go food and drink options as well as an actual cooked to order breakfast. Whoever is managing this place at the current time is doing a great job training and/or hiring good employees. My only 2 complaints would be that while the pillows are some sort of down/feather they collapse immediately. Virtually zero support and they get flat. Even doubling them up I had a difficult time getting comfortable. And depending on the time of the day there is a decent volume of plane traffic so depending where your room is it might be a little noisy. Otherwise a great place and also they have a cool bar / lounge area and tons of quick eat restaurants walkable from the property. Ample free parking too.

We booked this hotel under Priceline. My wallet was lost, and I didn't have a physical card, but I had tap to pay and cash. The front desk woman said they couldn't take either. She couldn't take the card information manually, nor could they accept a pre paid reloadable card. She said there was no manager we could speak with. I then asked her if we could do a credit card authorization paper. She said they did do those, but only a manager knew how to do it, and she "thought we might have to fax it or something." Still, she made no move to attempt to contact a manager. Mind you, this was a Monday afternoon. She wouldn't even cancel the booking on her end, which she absolutely could have done as i have had another Marriott hotel do that very thing, just making a refund from the 3rd party a lot simpler. It wasn't at a time when a manager should not have been available. This kind of lazy, non chalant customer service is honestly abhorrent.

Each year I go to Phoenix for a week to enjoy spring training baseball. I have stayed at 3 different Hyatt properties including their Andaz in Scottsdale. Then the Aloft Tempe opened and I have been staying here for the last five years. First it is super convenient to the interstates, the ballparks, old town Scottsdale and the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. But what sets this hotel apart from the rest is their people. Their front desk staff call me by name every time I walk past their desk (shout out to Kate who is amazing). Their housekeeping staff are super friendly as well. I would be remiss for not mentioning the rest….so shout out to Steve, Lisa, Kevin, Linda and of course Kate. Thank you for always making my stay a wonderful experience.
