Location of this hotel was nice you’re in walking distance to the street cars, canal street and many things nearby. However the hotel itself I would not recommend I have stayed at an aloft before and enjoyed my experience but this one I will not be returning. Here’s what went wrong: They advertise a heated pool but it was not heated according to one of the employees who also seemed like he didn’t want us going up there anyway too much work for him so it could have been a lie and he just didn’t want to turn it on. Next the room was pretty basic for an aloft but every time you flush the toilet it made a horrible clashing sound like it was about to break really sucks for those midnight bathroom runs. And if you didn’t hold down the handle it would only half flush. The toilet paper roll holder was not properly screwed in place and so it did not hold the toilet roll at all. If you stay here always make sure your door locks behind you because when we were coming back from dinner I noticed the light for the key card was green I push the door open and of course it opened no card needed or anything. That means the whole time we were out it was unlocked. I’ve never seen a card lock just stay green it usually flashes to let you unlock then locks itself back up. Luckily I don’t think anyone came in but they easily could have. Overall for 180/night in January it is not worth it at all. For that price we could have stayed at the pavilion hotel nearby and gotten way better service.

Love this location. |Everytime we come down to NOLA we talk about staying in a historic hotel and end up here. Which is not a bad thing lol. |It is always clean and comfortable, over my years of visits I have had no issues with bugs or cleanliness (which means a lot) ||One thing. That is not this hotel, but is the city is New Orleans is the ‘big easy’ realize speed is at a more comfortable and slow pace with everything. You will notice this and if you can adapt you will have a great time. This means your check in will be at the same city pace most days, as will your reservations down the road, coffee on the river walk, etc. ||The store in hotel is convenient. I wish they had more products it can be difficult to get things from stores downtown. ||Walkability is great and everything is a quick Uber away if you get too many steps or drinks in. ||Enjoy yourself! Laissez le bon temps rouler!!

I stayed for a week. There were a lot of positives but too many negatives from the staff to overcome. I was debating rating this a 2 star or a 3 star, but you expect a level of professionalism and competence with even an "average" stay, and the Aloft staff seemed to have too many fumbles to call this average. The facility is pretty nice. Lobby, room, and location were all good. A few of the staff members were rock stars, but the overall operation was disorganized and lacked any sort of consistency or identity. Housekeeping was good. A few members at the front desk were great, but a few members were were very below average. The fire alarm went off twice during my stay (both were false alarms). I chose a free breakfast over marriott points, but one morning there was no breakfast to be found. I asked when breakfast would be served and the person at the front desk said they had no idea. I figured I'd at least grab some coffee, but it was lukewarm. I used my voucher on water and a canned starbucks coffee drink and thought I'd come back for breakfast when it opened, but the lady at the front desk gave me a hard time about using part of my voucher for coffee and the other part for breakfast. Another time I was waiting for service while it seemed one of the ladies was on a personal phone call.||I've read a few reviews from the past year and it seems my experience is consistent with a number of other visitors. I don't blame any of the individual workers. None of their actions were egregious even if they were substandard. The entire operation appears to suffer from a lack of leadership. I'm sure the general manager will give my review the same platitudes that they've given to previous negative reviews over the past year (and talk about a teaching moment for the staff). Unfortunately, I would estimate all of the issues stem from their poor leadership. In many ways, I feel bad for the staff members as they are clearly not learning any skills to further their career in the hospitality industry, and the good ones are being dragged down by the bad ones and the overall lack of a standard.

Aloft is in a convenient location, walking distance to the French Quarter. The rooms are modern and sleek. I found my room to be clean, neat and tidy upon my arrival. Check-in is easy and the staff was friendly. The only downside for me was that my room was facing the parking garage across the street and even with the blinds down, a lot of the lights came in from the garage that is brightly lit.

The location is great, we’re in walking distances of everything we wanted to do, the rooms nice but basic and the staff is nice enough, we really haven’t needed to interact with them though. BUT the fire alarm system is hooked up for the entire building (obviously) but this includes the apartment buildings above the hotel. So if someone in their apartment cooks, takes a super hot shower, or as one employee said “dust” can set off the entire fire alarm system for the building. The hotel rooms start on floor 11 so every time this alarm goes off you have to walk down at least 11 floors of stairs to be told, it’s not an emergency, one of the apartments just burned their dinner. This is our first day in the hotel and it has already gone off 3 separate times at various times in the day. This is ridiculous and I do not recommend staying here. Update: 2nd day and there is now no working water in the hotel. The shower doesn’t work and our toilet doesn’t flush. The sink sort of dribbles but nothing else. So far this has been the worst vacation. Update 2: third day, and while the water came back on for the sink and toilet, the shower is still not working. I was told one of there onsite engineers/handman said it’s working when in fact it is not. So that is 2 full days without a shower in the LA humidity.

Great hotel but a terrible stay. A maintenance employee loudly came into our room in the night by accident then hours later the entire hotel was evacuated to the street down the stairs (from 14th floor) for what ended up being a false fire alarm. The employee China was a great help and rectified the situation and she is the only reason I am leaving a good review now. The hotel allows pets for free and also has a pool. Rooms are cute and nice, just like China.

First off, the hotel is beautiful and safe and clean. The staff especially Cheyenne was so friendly and kind and welcoming and helpful. The bar is spacious and the drink was strong. They offer food though I didn’t order anything. My room is spacious too. No critters. And I would love to come back. The hotel is walking distance to bourbon street and the Caesars Superdome too.||One point: the door in my room sticks very very bad and it’s hard to get in and out. It’s kinda dangerous. It needs like oil or wd40 or something.

The location of this hotel is perfect for a stay in NoLa. It's a few blocks from Canal and Bourbon Street and less than a mile from the French Quarter and Decatur Street. My room was very comfortable, and clean, however I do suggest you get a room with a window. Some standard rooms do not have windows. The lobby was very inviting with a pool table and a lovely bar area to relax. Special thanks to Ms Anitra and Ms Chyna who were the front desk staff. They were a joy! They made me and three girlfriends feel welcomed. They assisted with our needs, gave us recommendations, and very professional. If I travel to NoLa again, I'll definitely stay at this hotel again.
