Stayed over a weekend for a girl’s trip and had the best time. Rooms were large and clean, with comfy beds and sitting area. Easily walkable to the Plaza and felt completely safe. Lobby/bar area of the hotel fun spot to hang out, and several guests did…very good feel. Staff were nice and the outdoor fire pit area was pleasant. Parking lot was tight and a bit of a pain, but that’s the only slight complaint. Will choose here again when in KC!
We booked a king bed room and they told us at check in we got an „upgrade“. The room was extremely small and we realized pretty quick that the bed was not a king - so I’m not sure what the upgrade was. They confirmed it’s not a king bed and agreed to give us a different room. So we got a room with two queen beds. The room was way bigger and nicer but definitely could use a better clean (especially the shower hat a lot of algae). We also thought $25 for parking per night seems a little bit over priced. Other than that we were pretty happy with the hotel and we loved the location.
I recently had my second stay at the ALOFT Hotel in Kansas City, and it was just as welcoming as my first visit. The hotel’s prime location on the plaza makes it incredibly convenient, yet its discreet setting enhances the feeling of security.
The amenities here are fantastic. I especially enjoyed the bar and the fire pit, a delightful discovery on my last day. Although there's a charge for snacks, having access to them was convenient. The lobby has a great vibe, contributing to the hotel's overall welcoming atmosphere, and the facility itself is absolutely beautiful.
The staff deserves a special mention for their exceptional service. I have a particular concern with connecting doors, and when I expressed this, they promptly accommodated my request to switch rooms, making my week-long stay comfortable and giving me peace of mind.
If you’re in Kansas City for any length of time, from a day to a week, I highly recommend ALOFT Hotel as a home away from home. I rate it 4.5 out of 5 stars. The only reason I'm withholding a perfect score is the lack of a complimentary breakfast, which I've enjoyed at other locations of the same chain, adding an extra expense here. However, everything else about the hotel is absolutely exceptional.
Vonda, who works at the front desk, always greets me with a bright smile whenever I walk through the lobby. This is my fourth stay at this Aloft location, and it will always be my first choice when I’m in Kansas City Plaza. Her kindness truly stood out to me. The hotel is immaculately clean, and the air conditioning is refreshingly strong. I also appreciated that the housekeeping staff brought me fresh towels every day—a small touch that made my stay even more enjoyable.
Stayed here around 6-10-24. Here’s the good stuff: Location is great. Nice part of town and walkable to a lot things. Gym is good. I really like the property but the service was just bad. It seemed like many of the people working there were not trained, or didn’t work in the hospitality industry before. No room service for 3 days. TV did not work. I called the front desk, it rang and rang, no one answered nor called me back. Never fixed. Someone accidentally ran a fire alarm test at 4:30 am, when really needed a good night of sleep. I sent an email to Tanesha Powell, GM, and not even a reply. Just what I expected.
Hotel was wonderful, staff was outstanding the food selection with their sister hotel next door was okay. The food was good but not the selection you would get at an actual restaurant and the atmosphere was not appealing. I would definitely stay here again.
My new job's area manager and I met here for a few days for training as it was where she was staying. I must say without hesitation, that the staff here, especially Vonda was the best and very accommodating to our needs. She was patient and kind as we continued to ask her for favors. I recommend this hotel, whether it be for business or pleasure
The hotel room was originally overbooked and there were a lot of issues getting a room despite the fact that we had a reservation. While I am frustrated with the hotel, I wanted to give thanks to Courtney. She was so kind to us and worked her butt off to make sure we were comfortable and had a room! She killed it! Five stars to her 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
