Rooms were clean uncomfortable overall. I'm not a fan of the bed frame they use as it sticks out from the mattress and is easy to catch your shin on. I prefer the shower in the aloft hotels as those are very nice. Location is convenient to the outlet mall and some restaurants and other places. Service was pretty basic in comparison to most Marriott brand hotels I go to. The lady that checked us in was in the bathroom for a bit before we ever got waited on. There was no sort of sign or anything at the front desk stating they would return momentarily so we just stood there. She wasn't rude but didn't really have a lot of personality. Overall decent stay but nothing really to wow me

Disappointing. Arrived at 12:20pm after a long drive told I could not check in until 12:30 - 1pm? Really! No food here but there was a bar. All I wanted to do was sit at the pool and read on my very last day of vacation. "Pool is closed until further notice" which quite surprised me as it was not on the website because I checked at that very moment. This is something you should advise your guests. Website said the hotel was under renovations but that was all it said, and it does show a pool available. It is a good location to the airport, and I think they had a shuttle. Comfortable bed. Top golf is right across the street. There are plenty of places to eat around. Free parking here. Wanted some ice. Walked my entire floor looking for it. Went to the desk and was told they had to get it for me? Never heard of that before. Again, something you should tell guests when they arrive. When I checked out, I asked for a receipt. She had to go in the back to get it. Another oddity. Anyway, this hotel was just OK. I could do without the POW pillows and whatever the theme was supposed to be.

I am a Platinum Elite member but rarely write reviews but this is an exception. This hotel is very poorly run and maintained. While the front desk staff was kind they did not follow through on multiple requests to supply toilet paper to the room. I have never experienced not even a TP holder in the room! I made requests and no follow up over two days. I of course had to take some from the lobby bathroom but expected follow-up. |I was also on the 5th floor and yet I had roaches crawling under my bathroom sink and refrigerator! I asked for the room to be serviced for all the issues it had and it was not even entered once for service. Not a single person came during my 2-night stay to do anything to the room - clean, de-bug or add TP!|A friend booked this room for me for a conference, and I gave my credit card to swap out for his (a Marriott Visa in fact) and it was not used and it was billed to my friend's card. I have called the hotel and received no answer over 2 days of trying. I finally go through was put on hold and after a few minutes...disconnected!|I have never had such poor service and accommodations. I love Marriott in general - but this hotel is forever off my list, and I recommend others try elsewhere.

What a great place to stay. The hotel is very clean and the beds are super. More importantly the staff is amazing and the bar tender, Jeff is a trip. Even if you do t drink make sure to stop by and speak with him as he is so enjoyed and has a lot of local suggestions. If you do drink he has so many different and recommendations. |It is my goto when in the area and suggest it for anyone.

Had reservation for another hotel but was switched to this hotel due to construction. Aloft was also under construction. Didn't have a phone in the room; no USP ports; electrical panel between beds was unstable in the wall; in the morning there was an oder of the sewer from the toilet I guess because I was on the first floor; there was a hole in the wall for the wall safe but there wasn't one; there was one chair to sit in and a long couch that was next to the wall under the TV but no other place to sit. No ice machine but ice was provided in quart zip lock bags at the information desk or was given out at the bar. I have stayed in much better hotels for less. I would not recommend this hotel.

I've never seen a layout like this. The room opened right into the bathroom. There wasn't a wall or door that blocked the view. The room had little bugs crawling all over the sink, night stands, and desk. Reported it to the staff and they seemed unbothered. The AC unit blows directly on you and can't be adjusted. And to top it off, they don't serve breakfast! Lackluster experience.

If I could possibly rate a hotel zero out of five stars I would. I talked to two managers before writing this review, hoping to get some clarity, or at least reasonable explanations, but there was no such so:||I have stayed at Marriot properties intermittently since 1999. I left Marriot for Hilton many years ago and , due to the fact that I agreed to stay at an Aloft as part of a youth soccer team group booking — I’ve been reminded why….||Arriving late on a Friday night with family in tow after a full day of work and school followed by a five hour drive, the last thing I wanted was to walk into a lobby being cooled by four plastic box fans with hotel doors left wide open. Though given no explanation for such, we were checked in a sent to a room at the end of a hallway of broken door frames, broken key card readers and dings and dents abound. ||We entered a room with obnoxious “daylight” spectrum lighting in the bedroom and a broken (non working) light in the bathroom. Everything about the room screamed “no one cares about me!”. I have plenty of photos that make wasting my time further describing the situation a waste of my time. ||The shower that had no reasonably functional temperature control, the dirty floors, the human hair on the coffee maker, the empty box of tissues (with one tucked in the top)… the hits kept on coming. ||With only two sets of towels, though exhausted, I hope to at least have the chance to call the front desk to ask for an additional set and to report the bathroom light not working - only to see we had no telephone in the room!||My venture downstairs was met by a front desk person only several days on the job who had clearly spent most of her “orientation week” learning to listen to dissatisfied guests. ||The hotel was fully booked, she said, so my option to get a working light bulb in our bathroom was to wait for the maintenance man to return from his run to pickup another victim (er, guest) at the airport. I took her up on her offer, but when the “do-it-all-man” wasn’t back in thirty minutes, I told her it would need to wait until the next day - as we desperately wanted to sleep. ||Amazingly, upon attempting to climb into bed, we found one of the two beds had been made “inside out”, with the duvet directly on the fitted sheet! As such, we remade the bed ourselves.||I could go on, but you more than get the point. Avoid this hotel at all costs!

For an airport hotel it was ok the room needs some maintenance. The location has lots of food choices nearby and has Topgolf across the street. This aloft location has a cockroach problem. Didn't find any bed bugs but the mattress need replaced. The air conditioning unit in the room was very loud and likely needs a good cleaning. Not sure why this location doesn't have an outdoor pool but I wasn't there for the pool.

Upon check-in, I discovered that my reservation had been changed to a King room, despite needing two double beds. However, the desk clerk went above and beyond to promptly resolve the issue. What impressed me the most was her attention to detail, as

Such a nice hotel for the price. Very modern, very clean and upscale details. The staff was also so wonderful. If you are attending an event at the North Charleston coliseum, this is the perfect spot and it’s right next door.
