Aloft Buffalo Airport - Hotel in Buffalo - 4219 Genesee St, USA

I regret to say that the experience at this hotel was less than enjoyable. We stayed here for one night before flying out with the family to NYC. We booked a room with kings and got queens. Normally, this would not matter to most people, but we have three kids. The room with the kings makes a BIG difference. I tried to speak with the lady at the front desk, Shehonda, and not only was she terribly unhelpful, but I felt her to be dismissive, borderline rue and completely unconcerned. If it were me, I would have apologized and made things right, somehow, in some way. We were flying out very early, and no one slept. We were all quite uncomfortable. This, in turn, ruined the following day for all the kids on our short pre-start-of-school getaway. They were completely exhausted, and all the planned activities were not as enjoyable as they should have been.||Then, the hotel hallways stunk like sweaty feet. The place needs to be cleaned and ventilated, and the carpets should be washed. Perhaps air fresheners would help.

Well, what can we say about this hotel? First of all, the front desk clerk, Keeyahnah, was AWESOME. She had a rude couple come through right before we checked in, and briefly mentioned it in the manner of someone who was simply unflappable, and incapable of letting jerks get under her skin. She was extremely pleasant and professional, and gave us great recommendations for food and things to do. She even let my family and me use the conference room to work on homework (we're all in school). Colleen was the van driver that evening, and ran me back from the airport after I dropped off a rental car. She was friendly and pleasant, and very clearly enjoyed her job, getting to help people and make new friends every day. Barkeeper...Unfortunately, I didn't get his name, but he was simply great. Very personable and helpful, and kept his space clean, tidy, and welcoming. Very nice touch for a business hotel. Rooms were comfortable, clean, and well stocked. We had a great stay, and plan on staying there again when we visit next. Loved the abstract flowing lines of the hallways and lighting. I'm something of an artiste, and can't every pass up a unique scene without trying to capture it. 10/10 would recommend and stay there again! Thanks again, Keeyahnah!!

We chose the Aloft because it was colorful, unique and close to the airport. We have stayed in them before. We have an 8 month old and needed ease of travel. I would say the rooms could use a good deep clean, but they weren’t bad. More towels would have been nice too. The highlight of the hotel was definitely their staff! We were greeted by the cutest front desk host, Tierra. She was knowledgeable and fast, so sweet and easy to laugh. When we came down the next morning, she was still there and still smiling and joking. Chiquita, who was training was joking with us and so sweet. Then, we met the breakfast lady, Auntie Patty! She was the delight of the morning! She was quick to make our baby laugh, and was oh so sweet. Our baby adored her infectious smile. Even the guy moving laundry we met in the elevator was polite and playful with our son. The entire staff we saw and interacted with were wonderful. Kudos to whoever is in charge of hiring. We appreciate the kindness.

Patti the breakfast lady is incredibly friendly and makes the food with love. She's a highlight of the morning. The rest of the stay is typical and great for an Aloft but I certainly would go out of my way to recommend the breakfast sandwiches. You'll leave with a smile!

The Aloft Hotel is a typical close to the airport hotel but with a non traditional vibe. The lobby is filled with bright colors and shapes, a pool table, and a bar right as you walk in. The rooms are fairly standard and laid out in a clever modular way. The space is fine for a couple, but three or more will be very tight. For the several times we’ve stayed, there have been no issues. Unfortunately however, on one recent occasion, the sliding door to the bathroom was completely broken and seemed like it had been for a while. I couldn’t understand why housekeeping would not have reported it as you barely could get into the bathroom. We arrived late and were only staying the night so it made no sense to try and move rooms. Parking is no problem. The bar food is decent. A McDonalds was walking distance. Overall, a decent place for the money.

I ordered 2 sandwiches & a cinnamon roll. After waiting 30 mins I got 1 sandwich & the roll. I mentioned I didn’t get a sandwich they said ok we a have it out. 20 more mins past no sandwich I inquired again for them to say o it’s thawing out. I just left. Communicating is worth a 1000 words.

Ain’t no way this is a Marriott property. From 1 Marriott associate to a whole hotel they need to teach you guys about Marriott standards. The cleanliness and the basic room essentials not even there. The front desk associate made me see why when they get to my front desk people are always on edge. Rude agents make it hard sir everybody and Shandra is the WORSE. Her phone etiquette down to just asking for help was horrible. This property needs help ASAP.

The manager and receptionist were extremely rude. Though we had confirmed Reservation from Aloft website. The receptionist denied the room for us, stating its overbooked and mentioned they could not help. We were 10 adults and 4 kids. All of us had to wait for more than 2 hours at 11 PM in the night to get some rooms allocated. We had multiple concerns with the room, but none was addressed even after reporting multiple times. DO NOT STAY HERE AND MAKE YOUR STAY TERRIBLE!!!
