Aloft Asheville Downtown - Hotel in Asheville - 51 Biltmore Ave, USA

Recently stayed 48 hrs in Asheville for a mini-vacation and comedy show at The Orange Peel which was a short walk away. This brings me to the biggest pro for this hotel: the location. The staff was also really great, especially while navigating ongoing construction at the hotel and adjacent property. Knowing about the construction was not enough for me to cancel BUT I would caution about the price of the hotel and associated amenities depending on the type of stay you want. We booked a pool access room (although the pool is not quite open yet after renovations) which I personally would not do again due to limited privacy and extra noise; however, the pool area is very nice and is an excellent place to hangout if you are a bit more extroverted than me. For the room, I appreciate the accessibility features available for those with reduced hearing or mobility needs, although the storage was NOT great. The only available shelves were higher than a 5 foot tall person (me) could easily reach. We did not use the pay breakfast or bar but we did use the $20 in and all out day parking which was great.

This place was a gem! The rooms were immaculate, and the location was right in the heart of everything! They even had a section that housed a dog that was up for adoption. But my absolute favorite feature was the reverse osmosis filtered water station just outside my room. Such a brilliant idea! You can never be sure about the quality of water from a regular fountain, and it's high time we all made a conscious effort to reduce plastic waste. Other hotels should definitely take note of the great initiatives Aloft is implementing! Would definitely stay here again!

The POOL is CLOSED and there is MAJOR CONSTRUCTION underway which affects the availability of several other amenities (I will attach a photo of the construction notice we found in our room detailing the closures). The hotel claims to have done their best to make guests aware of these facts in advance. We saw no sign of their efforts throughout the booking process. The staff at the front desk politely pointed out some fine print in an email down near where the “unsubscribe” link is normally found. I put it right at the top here in bold to demonstrate an example of a good faith effort to inform people before they make their choice.

I just wanted you all to know how wonderful and helpful your front desk person Christopher is!!!!! i don't even have a reservation and he helped me to find a trip confirmation for my stay at another hotel and he didn't have to take the time! What incredible service you have! Because of him I will 100% book at Aloft Ashville on my next stay and tell everyone how amazing he was!!

Second time here in this hotel. Booked for the location- great location downtown and walkable to most things. The ambience and vibe is chill. Hotel is clean and easy to navigate. We were very disappointed to be informed after the fact that the pool was closed for construction. Also hosts in lobby were less than friendly, with no attempt to greet or connect with guests. Love the humane society support and adoptable pets that hang out there, super cool.

Stayed here for a few days during the kid’s spring break. Perfect spot for a casual stay with kids and pets. One of the most pet friendly hotels we’ve ever stayed at. They even have pets for adoption at the hotel. Clean and super friendly staff all the way around. The lobby has an amazing bar, restaurant and a breakfast spot that serves fresh food and Starbucks coffee. Pool table and kid’s games make it fun for the whole family. The large outdoor patio that overlooks downtown is perfect for a morning coffee or an evening cocktail. Located right in the heart of downtown, there is no need to worry about a car or parking. We could walk to all of the popular restaurants, breweries and lounges within minutes. In addition, they are redoing the rooftop pool area which will be amazing once complete. Adding in a new rooftop bar to the adjoining building that will open this summer (2024) and the place will be epic. We will be back!

Funky modern hotel. Wonderful helpful staff. Great art. However, if you are a light sleeper this might not be the place for you. Thin walls and lots of city noise due to construction. Also, pool under construction as well as fitness center. That was disappointing without realizing ahead of time.

Guest beware! We had an absolutely terrible stay here for a few reasons. 1. Pet Friendly - As one of the only pet friendly hotels in the area, expect every guest to have a dog. This means that they are barking at 3am and you will get very little sleep. They are taking over the lounge area and there’s no possible way to get away from the incessant barking within this hotel. 2. Due to ongoing construction, there was so much noise at this hotel from the concrete and stone saws - even when we were in our rooms we could not escape it. They allowed these stone saws to start at 7am. 3. During the hot Fourth of July week the pool was closed and we had no way to cool off. In short, this hotel places the dog experience above the guest experience.
