We rented the Mountain Home from July 11th – July 14th of 2017. The space was absolutely lovely. We rented it to house our family and friends for a wedding. There was more than enough space to fit our 40 or so guests, the kitchen was well equipped, the hot tub was great. There were plenty of spaces to play for the children and plenty of room for our group. However, our experience with the owner was less than satisfactory. The day before we arrived we were informed that several of the promised amenities were broken or no longer offered. The washer and dryer were broken, and bicycles that were advertised were no longer featured. We knew ahead of time that the advertised 80-person limit was incorrect as part of the premise and one extra cabin was not longer being rented out, and although the owner was clear about this affecting by 20 people less the capacity of the cabin she did not offer any discount or compensation from the advertised price. All those things were annoying but not a major deal, however, the owner never informed us that the reason why the extra-cabin was not being rented out was because she was living on the premise; we learned this after we arrived. Our family was enjoying dinner when the owner walked into our party, uninvited in order to inform us that she was living there. She was also commenting on our behavior, reminding us of the rules of the cabin. By this point we were upset and frustrated but the top to her poor and overly aggressive service came during check out time. The owner arrived 15 minutes before our 10:00 deadline to get out, again came in uninvited asking us to hurry up and quickly make sure all of our things were out of the house. My family and friends were cleaning and preparing to get ready, at which point she walked up to my Hispanic wife and my mother-in-law to ask them if they were the cleaning crew, ignoring my white friends and family who were cleaning and cooking. When we were leaving we confronted her about this last comment and let her know that we were not totally satisfied with her management. Our face to face interaction was clearly uncomfortable but it remained respectful, however, as soon as we turn around to drive away she swore at us and walk away. I wish I could recommend this place because it is a great space, however the owner was extremely unprofessional, aggressive and treated us quite poorly. We had never experienced anything like this in the service industry.

Great facilities for large groups of people. Numerous bedrooms scattered throughout the place. It has the feeling of a large scale family home. Plenty of tv screens in all of the common areas. I highly recommend this place for your large group.

Good cabins and big enough common area for larger parties.
