It's a cool blast from the past!
This place is awesome. The staff is top notch and have passion for Allegan county history. The tour was spectacular. Lots of great artifacts. The old jail is great to visit also. I love how they kept the drawings/artwork of past inmates. A small Chicora display also. Pretty sweet. I suspect I will be back here again. Hopefully soon.
Can't believe that this place has so much to see and so much local history. It's both jail and residence with the place bursting with displays. And it's free.
A shockingly cohesive museum. Fantastic work everyone
A great museum!! We (two adults and two kids, 6 and 8) toured the Old Jail Museum and highly recommend to everyone. A great escape for an afternoon! There are so many artifacts that are neatly and creatively displayed. Our guide was gracious and kept the tour interesting and was patient with my not so patient children! Definitely planning a return visit!
What a great little mueseum, full of wonderful history. Ask for a tour, the volunters are very knowledgeable and enthusiasts, that share their love of history.
It was a unique experience. It would be nice If they'd bring up that it's haunted while taking a tour and show evidence as well but I guess they charge for those. It was interesting that they have a motion sensor sitting on the judges desk but don't mention it unless you ask. I would have been interested in learning why it was there. Anyways, it was good for a history tour of the jail and it's free.
This place holds so much history for the this town. Im happy to to be a resident of 25 years.

Very quiet and nice, however it lacks decent public access to a bathroom. The play ground is well kept, but the benches could use some love. Overall it's fun to visit the library then let the kids burn off energy in the park.
