Great hiking, and the lake is beautiful. Lots of history there.The water was very low in this picture.

Absolutely amazing, straight out of the history books. The story about this areas history and the building of Lake Allatoona is stunning. Great walk down a trail where the actual tracks laid before the lake was built. You can almost feel history in the air. Great place to hike, fish, boat, picnic and more. Kid friendly, pet friendly, and take lots of photos. The civil war hospital and generals quarters are still standing

We always have a great time visiting Allatoona Pass Battlefield. It's an easy, short walk down the main path with options of other trails within. You can also access the lake, which we do when we visit. The history of the location is an added bonus and pretty neat if you look into it. We always see some beautiful wildlife along the way.

Nice wide trail. Found a cool bit of lake Access. Saw an osprey!

Nice place with the lake view and some hiking trails. A lot of information about the history of the battle at Allatoona Pass. Great place to bring your dog and enjoy the walk.

Good hiking spot. Lots of history behind this Civil War battlefield commemorated in blacks at good locations along hiking trails. 700 Union soldiers held up in Star Fort at the highest point above the railroad bed. Enjoy it, but keep the history for others to enjoy.

A gorgeous walk with informational markers to educate on the location. Tiny parking lot, but gorgeous trails overlooking the lake. Large rock walls, ferns, moss, just gorgeous. The monuments are touching.

Beautiful place in a secret kind of way. From the road it only looks like a small parking lot beside a hill. However, once you walk a little bit further it opens up to a trail that visually has a lot to offer. Serene. The history of the place was interesting.
