Our wedding at Alexander Homestead was truly magical! It was better than we ever could have imagined. The weather was perfect, the venue was perfect (I had so many guests tell me it was the most beautiful venue they've ever been to!), and the staff was so sweet and helpful. Carolann was super responsive with all of our planning details and Danielle was our wonderful day-of coordinator that made the day flow seamlessly. Rick did a phenomenal job performing our ceremony. Several guests told me they learned so much about us from the story he told, which was also very entertaining. I would definitely recommend AH to anyone looking for the perfect spot to tie the knot.
We could not have been happier with our experience at Alexander Homestead!! Danielle did an incredible job of making us feel like guests at our own wedding and Rick’s ceremony was amazing. Every single part of the ceremony and reception went off without a hitch. It’s very obvious to me that their entire team knows exactly what to do and when. I don’t know if comparing them to a Swiss watch, a colony of ants, or an Amish barn raising is the better compliment. But, it was a thing of beauty. If having Rick as your pastor is an option, I would highly recommend doing so. The way he incorporated our individual love stories together and into the ceremony made me feel like he’d known us all our lives and we’d never met in person, before the wedding. I worked in the service industry for many years, in everything from Irish pubs to $500/plate wine dinners. When I tell you that Danielle runs her facility at a level that many GMs at fine dining restaurants would aspire to, I don’t say that lightly. We looked at MANY different venues and I feel that Alexander Homestead would still be the best value for the money, even if they charged twice as much. Now that I’m already married, I feel comfortable letting them know that!
I photograph weddings at Alexander Homestead on a regular basis and after shooting at venues all over the Carolinas for 9 years I can say that this venue is my all time favorite! The staff and property are impeccable. With a fine attention to detail the staff thoughtfully and thoroughly prepares for each wedding. When I arrive the property is absolutely perfect and working with their onsite planners is a pleasure. I arrive knowing the wedding will be perfect and leave with the satisfaction of my clients having had the wedding of their dreams.
As soon as my husband and I got engaged, we were immediately faced with this question, “Have you picked a date?!” It was exciting, but stressful to pick a wedding venue and choose a wedding date. Two months after we were engaged, we moved from Fort Lauderdale to Charlotte, so we didn’t know anything about wedding venues or vendors in this area. I toured a LOT of venues, but none felt right. AS SOON AS we toured the Alexander Homestead (with Nicole) we could instantly see ourselves getting married there. Choosing the Alexander Homestead as our wedding venue was the best decision we could make (second, to choosing each other)! The AH team offers their own vendors and gave us vendor recommendations but let us choose a few of our own as well. We were impressed with EVERY vendor! It was chilling – the thought of getting married on a historic property in a garden with a string quartet was a dream come true!
The best experience we could have ever asked for! After looking at over 10 different venues in the Charlotte area we came across Alexander Homestead and fell in love with the venue, wedding planning process, and incredible staff. Carolanne was our planning and day of coordinator and took care of every detail and more, making the wedding planning process as stress free as possible. She is absolutely fantastic and so wonderful to work with! We wouldn’t have changed a thing - cannot say enough about how much we love this venue and team!
We had the absolute best experience with Alexander Homestead. Wedding planning was a breeze with their talented staff and variety of in house vendors and decorations. We could not have asked for a more perfect wedding planning experience or wedding day! Danielle, our day of coordinator, made sure everything went smoothly on the big day.
