Alesi Pizza House - Italian restaurant in Lafayette - 4110 Johnston St, USA

I was there on a Wednesday night for a church social event. We had a large separate room, and the main dining room was still packed on a weekday night! That's how yummy the food is here! There were approximately 26 of us, and one, yes, 1, a server who did not disappoint. He was quick with the refills, correct with the salad dressing and food orders. The food was served hot with plenty of bread. The restaurant has been there since 1965, I believe. Don't let the building fool you. The owner and staff are friendly, the food delicious, and the wine list broad. We will return for dinner soon.

I would have never thought I would go to a well known establishment such as this place and get frozen chicken breast and imported tiny shrimp with the sand vain in my alfredo! Absolutely terrible!

As a child my parents would take us here and I made such fond memories here. I remember taking my wife here shortly after we got married and now my brother and sister joined me with their new spouses and children to make new memories. The restaurant is almost exactly the same as I remember it. They got rid of the toasted packaged breadsticks and some of the staff have retired but it still has the same great food. The place has a great selection of wine a wonderful menu that is awesome and the same great atmosphere. I absolutely love this place, the owners and the food. I was saddened to find out the a good man that used to run the register and frequent the bar I ran a long time ago passed at a younger age than he should have. He was a great man and we sorely missed. Dining in brought back a ton of great memories and made me happy they have not changed a thing.

Great place for lunch. Had a "works" pizza and some fried ravioli. Me and my girly had a great time. A little on the spicy side but super tasty. Really attentive waiter who was kind and friendly. Would definitely go back if time allows. Warm, cozy Atmosphere, a little dated but I like that. It feels nostalgic.

Food is good, enjoyed the atmosphere. Was my first time to visit. Went because of friends recommendations. However, Service was way too poor/slow for me dining alone. My to go order took too long to get. Upon checking out, it felt as though I was bothering the young lady. Thank goodness the food makes up for the poor service.

I recently took a date here and we had a great time. Our server was amazingly pleasant, the food was fantastic, and I've always enjoyed the atmosphere, finding it intimate and inviting.

Worst experience…. Showed up to pick up my to go order. First cashiers says oh I dunno. Waited 20 minutes asked another cashier, she says I’m not sure. I then asked for an answer of where my food is. To find out $100 worth of my food was getting cold and they didn’t know where my pizza was. Asked another cashier and she stated she doesn’t know and she just got there. So I asked to speak to the manager she pointed to a manager who also just got there. He didn’t say one word to me and hid behind the pillar and talked about how someone else made him look bad. After a hr of waiting I left with cold food and a hot pizza. No one once apologized. Basically hid from me. I understand mistakes happen. The management and staff is just terrible. Not the cozy Italian restaurant I remember. This was the one place that felt like home to me when I moved to Louisiana and now it feels no different than a Pizza Hut. Does not feel Italian owned at all.
