Such a beautiful and well maintained park! We went here Halloween weekend and had almost the whole park to ourselves. Will definitely be coming back here again. Only thing I could say, the hosts should put a sign on the wood cage that tells guests to come knock on their door to purchase firewood. We weren’t aware this is what you had to do so we went without a fire our first night there.
We love alder lake park. I do have to admit. I gave it 4 stars this year becuase I believe with the park being short staffed or the quality of staffing the restrooms were not very clean. I mean we were camping and all. But I have been comming here for years and this year it seemed alittle and I mean a little bit in disrepair. Other wise the people and park are great.
Thirty minutes away from Mt. Rainier’s gates. Nestled between giant conifers and a glacier lake.
Hide away in the forest closer to Mt Rainier. Take time for yourself in a fishing boat, hiking the trails or enjoying family time. Bring your dogs and kids.
Beautiful lake with clean refreshing water and clean restroom/changing room buildings. There is a swimming area, sand beach, and grass field to lay or sit or play on. There is an area with picnic tables as well as.a.kids playground area.
I’ve never left a review for a lake so believe me when I say the water is in fact that color. If you paddle along side the shore you can see giant rocks on the bottom on the lake. There were a couple of noisy boats but it wasn’t crowded so not that big of a deal. If you are looking for a place to paddle (kayak or sup) it’s not too hard to get your craft out but it is rocky/uneven so wear good water shoes and watch out for rocks/trees under the surface.
Holy nice!
Beautiful scenery. There was quite a bit of goose droppings in March.
It is quiet, beautiful views, perfect for kids and picnics, you can bring your dog on a leash, a great place to take in the water and just get away for the day. It can get crowded but still fun.
It is a little confusing finding all of the trail heads at first. This place is absolutely wonderful to hike. I spent the day there exploring and will definitely be going back regularly. You can choose to stay on the maintained trails or go off in th
It is beautiful! The sights themselves are amazing and even better with the animals! The tram is wonderful. You get to ride around and look at elk, moose, bison, and more! Then you get off the 5 you get to see the bear, wolves, cougar, bobcat, lynx,
Amazing host! Nan was extremely helpful in helping us settle in. His helpfulness was above and beyond. Super friendly host!
We enjoyed the campground, which was friendly during the day and quiet at night. There are some farm animals that are roam
Great park on alder lake. Free on weekdays and non holidays. Might be free on weekends. Supposedly a $10 fee but I didnât see any kiosk for payment. Good facilities, pretty large parking but it does get full. We got there before noon on a Monday a
