Stopped here back in mid-May with my family while staying in Talkeetna. Such a fun stop with delicious birch syrup and birch syrup goodies! The local Sunshine bus will also stop here if you call ahead and ask, which was perfect since we didn't have a car. We came just after harvest season ended, so we didn't get to have a live tour of the syrup making process, but they had a nice video of their process along with tree tapping and syrup collecting items you could view. The tasting was the absolute best part though! Try all the syrups to see which one is your favorite, each syrup has its own unique taste. They have other goodies too you can taste like their birch syrup caramels which are to die for, and other items like Alaskan made teas, soaps, and pottery. They will also ship your goodies home to you, so you don't have to worry about TSA confiscating your precious syrup. The birch water is also nice and refreshing. In the Summer months they have homemade ice cream with a birch syrup flavor. We met the original owners while there who've since retired, and it was neat to talk with the original folks who started it all. Be sure to stop by if in the Talkeetna area!
Ever heard of Birch Syrup, we hadn't! On the way back from Talkeetna we saw this place. They offered a Tour and Tasters. The staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions. They had a short film and showed us the process from tapping their 10000 plus trees to cooking the Sap. They have a nice shop offering the Birch Syrup, Candy and Ice cream. If you are in the area give them a visit and introduce yourself to Birch Syrup Products.
Best stop in Talkeetna! Had a lot of samples of all of their products. Similar to maple syrup, yet different. They offered a free tour that took 20 minutes where they went through the entire birch syrup making process with samples of the syrup at different days during the tree tapping season (21ish days). All tasted very different with so much more flavor than your typical maple syrup. Family ran and sustainable business. Such a great store. A must visit if you’re in the area!
Must visit tasting place.. Nicely explained differently harvested syrup and got to taste their flavors. Bit expensive but worth the tasting and get to know it’s different flavors.
Loved stopping here. The Blueberry icecream with Blueberry Syrup were the best i’d ever had in the US. It was just perfect, not everybody gets this flavor right. The Birch icecream with Birch caramel syrup tasted almost similar to caramel icecream. You’ll enjoy this if you like caramel. The icecream and the birch cream caramel candy were so good we visited again before we leave Talkeetna. Never knew about Birch syrup before this. Its kind of like slightly caramelized maple syrup if I’m not wrong. They have wide range of syrups and candies, you can even taste them before buying. We bought so many Birch cream caramel candies and had then throughout our Alaska trip.
I really enjoyed the history behind Alaska Birch sap making, we did the tour & they answered all our questions and had tons of samples. I recommend this place!
Such a unique stop in Talkeetna! We really enjoyed the tour and learning the entire birch syrup making process.
Stopped here for some delicious Birch syrup and some yummy ice-cream! We also had an interesting tour. Plenty of parking, some parking for rv's as well.

I have no idea what this place looks like during the day but at night when it's clear skies it is spectacular. I mean so many stars for miles and it's pitch black. I was there in January so it was super cold but worth it just to see stars or even met
What a great place! The cabin was spacious and super-clean! It had everything we needed and the manager, Angie, was so friendly and accommodating. This is THE best place to stay! Easy to find and such a peaceful setting.
We had our meals here whenever it was open while we were in Talkeetna. We love the food especially the drunken noodles, be it just veg or with shrimp it was so good. The appetizers fried spring rolls and chicken dumplings were good. The shrimp fried
I love Cubbyâs! It pleases me when they have fresh avocados, yum. And the deli is awesome, they do made to order pizzas and sandwiches, and they have a great selection of snacks and side dishes to boot!
Went there to eat with my husband and father in law. Food and service was amazing. You hang out long enough you get to hear some really cool stories too.
