If you're a history buff it's a good place to visit. Staff is friendly and the walking tour is pretty easy.

Very interesting and historic location. Somewhat run down in appearance but worth a visit. The video shown in the visitor center is well produced! This location has an interesting history. The people working there seemed very passionate about the story presented here.

This is a very underrated yet important historical site. The Visitor Center is small, but it houses the very interesting 20 min video on the events leading up to the battle. The docent/lady, gave just my wife and I, a custom tour. She was extremely knowledgeable about the entire history of all that was discussed. The deciding factor in the battle was the cannons Gov. Tryon had on his side. The size used are fully on display in the Center and outside. The Allen house is also very interesting.

Another great NC historic site. Exhibits are on point and the staff gave a great overview to a point that could be seen as the start of the steps to the American Revolution. It’s a short walking tour and well worth the visit.

This is a very good place to go and learn about this county's history. The staff person was very knowledgeable. It also had a short film which was informative as well. I'm really glad my husband and I took the time to visit. We learned quite a bit!!

So surreal to be at the first battlefield that begin the Revolutionary War. Beautifully kept grounds. Did not do the walking trails but will return for that. I chose the self guided tour, but you can take one with the staff. Really neat relics inside the building.

This was a very nice soccer field but for older or handicapped folks need to provide a way for transportation to the other side of the gigantic field. And closer restrooms also would be nice as well. Well maintained field!

Been hiking at this park since 2011 and I still love it. Trails are well maintained, well-marked, and it has some primitive camping sites that I've wanted to check out. The paddle access down the homestead trail is well marked and a great area to rel

Lots of kids there for my stepson to play with. Park is pretty much litter free, and no crazies out today. People running on the track, kids running around playing tag, people walking their dogs. Even though it was cold outside it was a pleasant time
