Ala Kai Motel - Featured Reviews (130)
Ala Kai was a great motel. Just steps from the beach, nice pool and very clean. The staff was great. Friendly, courteous and helpful. The housekeeper was adorable and made the kid’s beds up with their stuffed animals every day. The kids were so excited to see what she did. The hotel is about a mile away from the boardwalk so it’s quiet but conveniently located to all the best attractions in the area. The rooms have stovetops and refrigerators and microwaves which is perfect to cook when you don’t want to go out and spend a fortune. There are also grills available and outdoor seating. I was very impressed with how well the rooms were cleaned every day and the pool was cleaned every morning. Only downside was the beds were only full sized and not super comfortable but the benefits of this hotel outweigh the downsides. We really enjoyed our stay and if we are in the area again we will be back.
We just stayed here for the first time for a few days and had a wonderful time! It is a classic wildwood crest motel even with pink tiles in the bathroom. It has been wonderfully maintained and is extremely clean. They bought the blue marlin across the street so you have two pools to choose from- seemed like one was salt water and one was chlorine. They have corn hole and lots of gas grills and places to sit outside your room. The only thing I didn’t love was there was no vanity or anywhere to store stuff in the bathroom, and there was no closet just a rack in our standard room- but both of these things were fine because everything else was wonderful, and it is a motel. They even had fluffy extra blankets on top of each of the beds which I really appreciated and housekeeping made up our room quickly each day. The staff were the best part! They were all very friendly and kind and accommodating. The rooms do not have coffee pots but just ask and they’ll give you one, and they have hair dryers to loan out. It’s very close to beach front there’s just half a block of condos between the hotel and the beach access. Overall we would definitely stay here again!
Recently spent 3 nice here with friends while we were in town for a wedding. This place is cute and unique and clean. So close to beach. Bathroom was outdated but it didn’t bother us. Beds were comfortable and daily housekeeping was good. Easy to walk around to places near by or a short drive from restaurants. Would stay here again. We had room 301.
This was our second summer staying at Ala Kai. We love coming here and plan to be back next year. The beach is beautiful and an easy walk from the motel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Our children love the pool. We can't wait to come back!
We have been coming to here for 4 years now and everytime we come it’s always amazing! The rooms are so clean, room service always comes in to do a refresh for us and the staff is super awesome and accommodating, especially Joanne. They helped us add on another day because we just enjoyed it so much here. The location is perfect and so are the rooms! We can’t wait to come back next year.
The hotel is located on a beach block, which is so convenient. We stayed in a family efficiency, which claimed to sleep six. There were only three of us and we felt the room was too small, especially for the price. The room was clean. The pool was okay.
Quiet location of Wildwood Crest close to beach. Very family friendly, clean and affordable during high season. Highly recommend this motel!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Blue Marlin. We were greeted warmly by Marion upon check-in and recommended dining in the area. The Motel was immaculately clean from the common areas, rooms and pool. The staff was friendly and welcoming each da

Fantastic place, with fantastic people. There was a mixup with our reservation where we didn't show up in the system, but David was more than gracious on working with us. After getting that first night figured out (at his own expense), he made sure a
We stayed in Compass Motel during Labor Day and have to say it was one of our best vacations. Rooms, pool, amenities even stairs were very clean. Proximity to the beach was great. Most of all - the atmosphere was the best. People were really having a
This is seriously amazing food! The most flavorful dining experience we had in Wildwood the week of our vacation there. From the chips and queso dip for starters, to the main course of the pork tacos and steak burrito, to the dessert of a fried and
Really tasty vegan (non-dairy) ice cream! They only have one flavor (vanilla) but it had a great creamy texture. They have several toppings that are vegan although only sprinkles can go on top of a cone (as opposed to a cup). The attached picture is
This is a beautiful well- designed venue. The sound system was excellent . The jazz trio was very good but the crowd was sparse. Traditional jazz is not popular with vacationers in Wildwood Crest.
Visited today, for the first time, to enjoy breakfast and had an excellent experience. The food was fantastic including blueberry pancakes with fresh blueberry and perfectly made French toast. The staff were wonderful too. Our waitress was excell
The food was great and so was the view from the porch! Georgeâs Place offered a really nice lunch and breakfast menu. The waffle was fantastic and the small salads that we ordered with our quesadillas and pita were amazing! The staff were friend
Park looks new and well maintained, and close to the beach. Itâs got swings, a huge playground area, a covered spot for shade, and two full basketball courts. Also it has bathrooms which is great for if you have young kids.
I had a great breakfast with my boyfriend. The food was yummy and there were no issues at all. If you go make sure to bring cash, although they have an ATM the machine works but it can give you certain issues with your withdrawal. The service was gre
Exceptionally clean and wonderful service. We stayed for two nights and in between dishes were cleaned, sheets and beds were made, and towels were replenished without even us asking. Added bonus, we arrived early and our rooms were ready. Liz, who
