Best Tandoori Chicken i've had in Los Angeles area. Excellent flavor and consistency. Garlic Naan is very flavorful. The Sheekh and Chicken Kabob's are great and the Potato Samosa's. Crisp outside, soft seasoned filling.

Delicious Pakistani food, with kind and helpful service. Really enjoyed our meal and the conversation with the server. Chicken malai was definitely our favorite. Thank you for welcoming us!

Being a hindu, you should avoid going to restaurants like this because they give beef meat in paneer. In hindu we worship cow. Horrible place to visit. if you can’t check your food properly then shut down the restaurant. But do not feed someone which they worship in temple. When we told the waiter about this, he didnt care much and just took the plate away and brought me a new plate. When we went to the receptionist, he just took out the paneer tikka masala out from oue order and didnt bother about it. They should really care about the customers and take their opinions seriously because eating meat in Hinduism is a sin. And, we take this very seriously. I hope they make an effort of not repeating tbis mistake again.

Some of the dishes are amazing & some are meh. Seekh kabab was disappointing more of a cumin explosion. The goat biryani was nothing to speak highly of either. However their karahis are excellent especially the beef karahi is a must here. The veggie dishes- Navrattan korma, aloo palak & lentil dish- daal masoor is pretty good too. The lamb pulao not pictured is also very good. Service is on the slow side.

I recently dined at Al-Watan Pakistan Restaurant in Hawthorne, and I must say I am extremely disappointed with both the food and the customer service. It was a truly underwhelming experience. First and foremost, the food was far from satisfying. The flavors were bland, and the dishes lacked the authenticity I had expected from a Pakistani restaurant. I had higher hopes for an enjoyable culinary experience, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The biggest letdown, however, was the abysmal customer service. As the restaurant was nearing closing time, a server came rushing to our table while I was still eating, demanding to pick up my plate. I understand that closing time can be challenging for the staff, but customers should never be treated so rudely or hurriedly. It left a sour taste in my mouth, both figuratively and literally. But the worst part was when the Restaurant Manager approached our table with a tablet in hand, solely focused on the gratuity amount and payment. There was no consideration for our dining experience or whether we had finished our tea. He simply held the tablet in my face, expecting immediate payment. To make matters worse, he moved on to the next table, interrupting a family who had just started their meal, and demanded the same from them. It was incredibly awkward and uncomfortable to witness. I must admit that the only reason this review is not a single star is because I noticed a couple of aged servers working at the time, and I felt sorry for them. They seemed to be putting in effort despite the overall poor service. However, even their presence couldn't salvage the dining experience.

Great tasting food, very fast service, but the ambience could be better. Al-Watan is one of the oldest Pakistani restaurant in greater Los Angeles area. I have eaten there a few times, the taste and quality of food hard never disappointed me. It is a very successful restaurant and I am sure it making good income. I think it is time to give it some uplifting with a new cleaner look.

Good people. Authentic tasting Pakistani cuisine. The dish to get is mixed plate which comes with kabob, and chicken. Biryani is pretty decent also.

Small hole in the wall, amazing food, amazing portions, amazing prices. Hands down one of the best Indian/Pakistani foods I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend the biryanis and their mango lassi.
