Al's Oasis is a fun and unique experience to check out if you are passing through the Chamberlain/Oacoma area. This place is quite large and has some very interesting and unique things to check out while you are there. They have many food options to choose from. I have stopped a few times now, and their main restaurant is actually quite good. I had the Bison burger, and it was quite good. The fries were great as well. You have to grab a cup of their 5 cent coffee while there. There's not a a lot between Rapid City and Sioux Falls, so these little roadside attractions are a great place to stop and stretch and get a good meal.

Burger was ok, I wish the bacon was fresh, but it filled me up either way. The restaurant was cool, a lot of animals hanging on the wall and old wanted posters of famous outlaws was what I loved. The server was pretty nice though I didn't have too much of an interaction with her. I'll stop by again if I'm ever passing by for sure

Keep driving in either direction and eat elsewhere. Flies hovered around the tables. Terrible coffee. At least the first cup was clean though. I asked the waitress if I could get some fresh coffee. The second cup was marginally better, but the cup looked like it had been pulled from the dirty dishes bin. Onion rings were good. The rest of the food, a grilled chicken sandwich with fries and grilled ham and cheese was edible. The waitress handles dirty dishes & brings your food. No idea if they wash their hands in between. Yes there is a robot. Not sure which tables get robot service. There was food on the trays, but everyone’s meal I saw was delivered by a waitress It’s overpriced for what you get, but it’s all there is for miles in any direction. For what it is: a tourist trap that welcomes buses it’s probably average.

The wait for food was a little longer than expected as, there were only 2 other tables in the restaurant. The cheese curds were spectacular. The waffle fries were amazing. Very garlicky. I would recommend the French fries and the classic oasis burger. Grilled cheese was bad. Overcooked bread and overall would never get again. Would recommend if you are hungry and have the time 👍(the pickles in the grilled cheese picture we’re from the burger)

Best quick over all description…… kind of like a much smaller Wall Drug in a way. Plenty of similarities, and some differences. This is located about 150 (or about a 2hr drive) East of Wall Drug, and right on I-90 yet as well. There are clothing options, and a diner, setting the stage to kind of be like Wall Drug. But here’s the kicker…. this place was technically established in 1919, whereas Wall Drug wasn’t until 1931. So, why did Wall drug get so much bigger? Perhaps the constant and larger expansions? Perhaps advertising? Not really sure, but this place can really call the claim of being the first, as it’s often labeled as an attempt to copy Wall Drug, whereas Wall Drug came second. You’ll also find a full blown grocery store here. Not a little convenience store to get essentials, but literally a full grocery store. You’ll also find in there selections of localized items both for souvenirs and also food items like cheeses. You will not find nearly the selection here as Wall Drug. Not for clothes, not for dining, not for the eclectic stores. But, you’ll also not find the sizable grocery store (if you’re needing groceries), and the diner here is more of a home town feel, as opposed to the busy chaos of Wall Drug. Not to mention, if you are coming from the East, you’ll get here 2hrs sooner. However, if you have time, I’d go to both. Wall Drug certainly takes the cake over all. But if you’re traveling and have a bit of time, hitting both should just be something to consider.

This was good. Hubby has hot turkey sandwich and enjoyed it. I had a patty melt but the cook forgot the grilled onions. The manager brought some over, so I enjoyed them with the second half of the sandwich. Pies were excellent. Service was good. Manage picked up the slack (drink refills, missing onions). We would go back again.

We are from out of town so came to try the bison burger. It was a little dry and was served with tomatoes that seemed like they were sitting under a heat lamp. Won’t spend the money to try it again! Decided to try the strawberry pie because walked by some that looked really good! Definitely didn’t get mine from that case! Mine looked like it had been in the fridge for a while and the crust was nasty and mushy! Wouldn’t recommend getting served in the bar area!

We ordered Al's Oasis classic burger. The burger and fries were hot. The burger was one of the best burgers I have ever had. The waiter was very good. Excellent dining experience overall.
