I recently stumbled upon this Indo-Pak grocery store while searching for good biryani in the area, and it turned out to be an absolute delight! Not only does it offer a wide range of groceries and spices, but it also boasts a small eatery/food market within the store that serves some of the most delicious Indo-Pakistani food. Two standout dishes that I highly recommend is the Lamb Biryani and Chicken Tikka. The chicken is cooked fresh in the tandoor,is an absolute winner paired with some freshly baked garlic naan. The biryani was very authentic in my opinion. They also have special items on Friday. The staff and the store owner are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to assist and provide recommendations for specific ingredients or dishes. The eatery area is small, modest but comfortable. There are two tables and approximately 10-15 chairs. Pricing is quite reasonable, considering the quality and authenticity of the food. The portions are generous, and you definitely get great value for your money. Perfect take-out spot, a hole-in-the-wall restaurant!
This place had amazing food. The Indian food selection was deep. All the things. Rice had saffron and allspice. Yum Honestly it was much better than some of the more hipster places around and definitely more authentic. Its also a store! The store is great and has Middle eastern and western products along with a great drink selection Get the mango Lassi
Amazing food. We stumbled among this place by accident and they serve hot food. It took a few minutes to prepare, but was excellent. If you are in the Oakland area, stop by and try. You will not be disappointed. You can literally get a burger any day of the week! Try something new.
This hidden gem is inside a small grocery bodega. The delicious authentic Pakistani food is cooked fresh - I saw the naan oven when I was there! It's well worth the very reasonable prices they're charging for these delicious dishes - don't miss out on the samosas!
The food tastes really good, but the presentation isn't the best, like they just mash the chicken, sauce and rice all together. The owners are very nice and friendly and I guess for the average area prices are affordable but the meal does not include sauce, yogurt, soup or anything else besides the chicekn and rice in one plate. Overall good experience I would eat there again.
I stopped by this place when I entered Berkeley; it is market and restaurant. Good food (Pakistani); the Dal was nice and the chicken biryani was good, eventhough the chicken could have been less dry.
Forgot to take a picture before we eat , everything was delicious 🤤 our first time here found it from google definitely we would come back specially for the Turkish delight
Don’t let the smaller restaurant setup in a grocery store deceive you. I have had the best Karahi Ghost (goat karahi) and naan here. It was very delicious, just the right amount of spice oil and goat well cooked. Definitely worth eating here or pack it togo.
