Al Aqsa Restaurant - Mediterranean restaurant in Boonton - 624 Main St, USA

Fantastic place with amazing food! There are several Mediterranean restaurants in this area, but Al Aqsa is one of the best. As an appetizer we had the lentil soup and the kibbeh balls. Both were fresh and delicious. Then we ordered the Al-Aqsa Mixed Grill platter. The portion is very generous. It came with a nice little salad, simple and fresh. The grill platter had chicken kebab, beef kebab, and kofta kebab. All perfectly grilled with a very tasty seasoning. It came with pita bread as well. All in all, a wonderful experience. Very friendly people too. We will definitely come back to this nice restaurant!

What a find! The food was delicious and super flavorful. We had the kebabs along with the hummus platter and it was enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. Lovely service and would highly recommend

Fantastic find in Boonton. We had the avocado salad, hummus and chicken gyro sandwich. Each was delicious with plentiful portions. Taste alert! You must try the mint lemonade! Out of the world taste and truly unique. Friendly people who care. Cost before tip was $48. Very reasonable.

Delicious! Arabic coffee was amazing and the “Al-Aqsa Mixed Grill” was huge, could probably feed 3 people. We’re excited to come again!

I recently dined at Al Aqsa, and it was an extraordinary experience! The ambiance was inviting, the service impeccable, and the flavors of the Middle Eastern cuisine were simply outstanding. This Mediterranean restaurant is great! I really enjoyed their Mixed Grill and Hummus. Nice place with good service. Definitely worth a visit!

I must say the food was very tasty. The flavors were delicious. Both my partner and I enjoyed our meals. We did take out. When I called to place my order, I was told they do not deliver, however, a food delivery service could be used. The person taking my order was abrupt. He neither asked my name nor payment. When I arrived I was asked for a number. I was not given one. My rating would have been higher if the customer service was better.

First time trying Al Aqsa restaurant (takeout). Initially I walked up to the wrong door, but saw that the place was busy, which is always a good sign. I ordered a gyro sandwich, an avocado salad, and a mint lemonade. I’ll start off by saying the mint lemonade was delicious. I’d stop by just to pick up one of those for sure. The avocado salad was fresh, and was the highlight of the meal. The gyro sandwich was ok, but I’m sure it would have been better on a pita (received it on a grilled wrap). Hopefully management sees this to clarify the menu wording on the gyro sandwich. The gyro comes with fries, which I guess appeals to Americans but a Mediterranean side would have been preferred (even if smaller portion). The staff was very friendly, and I’m guessing if I had asked for a different side it would have been considered. Give this place a try, I know I’ll be back to try some other items!
