Akorn Inn - Motel in Friendship - 1844 State Hwy 13, USA

Entrance is hard to find, and the place is never well lit even though they have the lights to make it lit. Rooms are small and not well kept even though they are working hard to update the rooms they aren't being kept well. Place is affordable but very accommodating for extended stays. The business owners and staff are very friendly and nice. They make the stay worth it. They also allow the best rates for pet stays, and they are most understanding with multiple pets, and they allow cats. Overall, our stay wasn't bad, but we wish there were more amenities. Internet was not offered to us, and the service in the room is terrible. With that being said, we would stay here again. I would love to see how this place changes and grows in the future to make things better for guests.

Terrible service! Not really honest people! We came up to some kind of agreement on the price when I called them, I spoke to a lady and her husband listened when we talked and when my guys got there, he overcharged them, they over paid because the owner was claiming that he didn’t knew the price I had finalized with his wife then when I asked for refund as soon as I found out she gave me big attitude that I even asking for the money back trying to twist our conversation from few days before! Then my guys had to go back home one day earlier so I asked for the refund for that night since they are going back home one day earlier and I still didn’t see the money back and that was almost two weeks ago! No response, my guys called them no response, really bad service! Run away!

I stayed at this motel on 6/2/23-6/4/23 Great experience, clean, affordable, friendly and beautiful surroundings. Owners were very nice. Thank you. Definitely will come back.

The owners of motel are awesome people! The rooms are nice. They have a refrigerator and a microwave. The shower has good pressure and nice hot water. It's also a pet friendly motel! Would definitely recommend it to anyone and will definitely be back!

My parents came out to Adams to visit my wife and I this weekend, and although the staff was very kind over the phone when they arrived things were absolutely abhorrent, disgusting, and unacceptable. The room was a mess, even though they were aware my father is disabled they recommended a room that wasn't accommodating, and it was generally just a poor experience from the moment they walked in. On top of that, instead of attempting to work with my parents or even just be reasonable and offer to refund them, the staff doubled down and my parents are without a room and without their money ON A TWO NIGHT STAY - no refund on either night. Absolutely cannot recommend against this place enough after one experience. Find someplace else, there are tons of really nice, hospitable, and clean places in and around Adams county. Save yourself the headache and stomachache and skip Akorn Inn. Akorn Inn knows who my parents are, and we're willing to give them a 2/5 instead of a 1/5 if they call my parents and refund them for a room they spent less than 5 minutes in, on a two night stay. Either way we're all very disappointed with the service, the location, and the cleanliness, and will not be back.

My husband and I were in town for a short unexpected visit. We reserved two nights at The Akorn Inn based on photos and their website information. When we arrived, we walked in the room and were hit in the face with a very strong cat urine smell. It was obvious that this room was NOTHING like the advertised photos. To put it mildly, the room stunk! The carpet was dirty, the bedspread smelled. I felt dirty just stepping in the room. We never put our luggage down, we just left the room, went back to the check in desk and I asked what their cancellation policy was. She said we dont give refunds. I explained that we were not going to be able to stay. She apologized but still no refund was offered.

I stayed here recently and it was a very pleasant experience. Nestled in a quaint location, it's a nice property and is well kept. The room was very nice and clean and had everything one needs while staying. Not only is it affordable but the owners were very nice and accommodating. I would recommend the Akorn Inn for a place to stay in the Friendship/Adams and even the Wisconsin Dells area.

A nice, quiet, friendly, clean place to stay without getting ripped for this. Awesome owners you can chat and laugh with. I had a pleasant room upstairs with a balcony. In the back, there are a beautiful yard, a veggie garden and a little pond with the beach. It reminded me good old times when I used to go to my grandma to the countryside on vacation. A fantastic place to relax!!!
