Akal Travel Plaza - Truck stop in Delano - 1748 CA-99, USA

This is My halfway point and rest stop I take whenever I travel. Chester's is a big reason for the stop. It is clean and usually not alot of people. Subway is in there also.

Chester's chicken was horrible. Biscuit was rock hard, chicken strips as well. Purchased Mighty Marked, and they were stale and later noticed expired. Cashier was nice

Deceptive listing: not a "rest stop," as restrooms are for paying customers only. 1 stall had gunk on the toilet seat, the other two were clean. Prices not clearly labeled. But, decent selection, bright space, a fine stop for paying customers needing a bathroom.

Had to make a quick stop for gas and this place was the closest . Quick restock on food and fuel . Restroom brake convenience.

Stopped at this truck stop to get two sodas and two Gatorades both were on sale. The sodas was on sale two for four the Gatorade was on sale two for five. The cashier charged me twice for the sodas making her charge me $8 instead of $4 for two drinks that was on sale two for four. I tried to show her the receipt and she called me stupid and said she gave me a discount and send them is there a problem then I'll go ahead and re-ring it and take away the sales and the discounts and if you need a dollar I'll give that to you. She was super rude so I walked away went to my truck looked at the receipt again thinking maybe I made a mistake and this time I knew I didn't make a mistake because the math wasn't math I went back into the store this time I was giving her the same energy she gave me and then she called the police on me the sheriff came I showed them the receipt and she just shook her head and the meantime she's still going off the other sheriff told her to be quiet and just let him talk and then while I was explaining she was still going off and she had to tell him again she he had to tell her again to be quiet and let him talk and he asked me what did I want to do that I want to return it but I wanted to keep it and I said you know what it's not a problem I'm just going to keep it and I'm going to leave. This was the worst experience as a trucker you can have. Now me myself I'm 11 bravo infantry I serve 20 years for this country seven tours in Iraq. I've been to camp Virginia camp El alhajon. I have 15 confirmed kills and received an oak leaf cluster. Everyone who served under me lived to go home to their family. I served and fought for this country to protect the ideals of freedom that it stands for. So other people who live here and come here could enjoy and breathe this air we call this is the treatment I got.

Never been here honestly don't want to go back my car ended up breaking down there...... people inside were really cool cuz we where there for a while waiting for a tow they. They had Subway, fried Chicken, and a bathroom we use the bathroom many times and they didn't complain which was really cool and appreciative. In are horrible times thank you for that guy's.....thanks for reading my short review 😎

Driver needed fuel in reefer. He paid inside but when came he came out to put diesel the lady came after him telling him he can’t put in his trailer but can put diesel in his truck which makes no sense.
