Last spring we had five mini-split heads and two compressors with heat pumps installed in our 1924 four square home. While we’ve had some issues with the system (all fixable), we’ve had phenomenal customer service and overall are quite happy with the system. Mike Simon has been our main point of contact and has been an exemplar of maintaining positive customer relationships. He responds in a timely and polite manner, communicates proactively, and clearly is determined to help us through the issues we’ve had (again, all solvable issues). We’ve been very happy with the product they installed and the customer service and warranty associated with the work. While customer service during install is important, the longevity and good communication we’ve had with their team is what has set Air Mechanical apart from other companies and we highly recommend them.

Update from June 11, 2024: I had an emergency toilet leak, and Air Mechanical came out promptly and removed it. The plumber and I discussed the options for a replacement toilet. While the toilet was on order, I had the mitigation and part of the rebuild done by two different companies, and Air Mechanical worked within their schedules to install a new flange and replace the bend in the waste stack where it had failed. When the toilet arrived, it wasn't the right model of toilet, but Air Mechanical installed it and said I could use it until the right one came in. I actually really liked the toilet but was excited to get the skirted toilet I had ordered. So far so good. When the new skirted toilet came, it was installed and the plumbers left quickly. Later, I saw that the new toilet was too big for the space, and that the shutoff valve was not fully operational because of the bigger size of the skirted toilet. I was flabbergasted that they would install something that was not the appropriate size for the location and length of the shutoff valve. Nowhere in the process of removing the original toilet, repairing the waste stack, and installing the new toilet was a permit pulled. If it had been (and I believe it is required because of the nature of the plumbing work in the waste stack), this would have been corrected. I called Air Mechanical and asked them to reinstall the previous toilet. I never heard back. Weeks and weeks later, I called again to let them know that I had called the City of St. Paul to see if it was up to code to have a non-operational shutoff valve and it isn't. I asked them again to please replace the toilet with the previous style. I never heard back. I can't believe that a plumbing company would leave it up to the customer to know their toilet rough-in and other plumbing specs. I assumed that it was the other way around. If I had been told that the toilet I had chosen was not going to work in the space I had, I would certainly have asked for guidance in choosing one that would. Now I'm stuck with a very expensive toilet that I'll need to pay to replace and dispose of and the prospect of paying even more money to have a reputable plumber to do that.

Our technician Jeff O. did a great job troubleshooting out AC unit. Though there was a potential fix to our 30 year old unit, he explained why now would be the best opportunity to replace the unit. This is the solution we will use. Jeff was friendly and we received service within 24 hours of our call. ****continued as of 8/14**** The service from Air Mechanical continued to be great. Will came later in the day, took measurements of the areas needing to be worked in and gave us options. We also discussed needing to replace our 25 year old furnace, a subject broughtvup by us, not Will. We did not feel pushed into any decisions or pressured to buy the most expensive units. On the contrary, the cost was far less than we expected to replace both units. Will dud great! The 4 gentleman on site doing the replacement were very professional. They worked very hard in the humidity and heat to install the units. There was no mess left anywhere in their working areas. As a matter of fact, they left the utility room looking better than when they arrived. We are very please with their service from beginning to end.

Derek and Cody with Air Mechanical stopped out yesterday to service the air conditioning unit and other parts. Here on time. Called ahead. Ready for work. They spent probably 1-1.5 hours and we're thorough with the assessment. Explained the age of the equipment, useful life discussion, and showed us some necessary maintenance items that were solid recommendations. Super nice guys! I'd be pleased to have them back in the future. Overall, I had an excellent service experience!! Thanks!

Our service technician, Mike, was simply amazing! He was so awesome, and such a pleasure to have do our repair. He did an amazing job of explaining things as he discovered them, and performing the repairs to get our air conditioning back up and running! If everyone else at Air Mechanical Is anywhere near as remarkable as Mike is, this truly is an exceptional firm that deserves to be recognized! I will strongly recommend this firm based on our experience with Mike!

I’m a complainer and a tightwad. Unfortunately, I have no complaints about Ryan Snook’s service call, and feel it was money well spent. Ryan is very personable and took his time answering all our questions while correcting some annoying problems. We were pleased with the diagnostic information provided, and the heads up for future maintenance/replacements. Our follow up meeting with Will McCabe to purchase replacement furnace/AC units was excellent. He is knowledgeable and informative, and the perfect salesman for us. I verified all aspects of his facts except for whether he offered the best price. We feel confident it is a competitive price based upon the excellence of our experience thus far. So far so good. Dave and Daniel installed the new AC and Furnace yesterday. We confidently let them work while we stayed out of their way. The finished install looks more finished and thought out than the products they replaced. No complaints as all our contacts have been above expectations. Aaron finished the final tune-up on our new furnace and AC just after Labor Day. As with every experience with Air Mechanical, it exceeded expectations. This is the most satisfying service experience in the 48 years we’ve.lived in our home. In fact, our upstairs hallway has always had a tinny noise when you stepped in a certain spot due to the duct work. That noise is finally gone after 48 years. Incredible bonus we did not expect!

Mark was the representative we met with today concerning an upcoming project in our aged parents home. Without a doubt an exceptional & highly knowledgeable individual who took the time to explain the current state of our issue and the proposed work needed to correct & its cost which we found to be very reasonable. Lastly & on a personal not Mark was as easy to work with as one’s best friend, truly a great guy & benefit to this company!

I just had Jeff Olmsted come out regarding my A/C. It didn't take him no time to find the problem, order the part for next day and come to install the part. He was knowledgeable, friendly and had the part changed in no time. He went above and beyond taking care of the A/C and for that I and my dog are really greatful. Thank you again Jeff! Definitely recommend!
