A really positive poke bowl experience. I particularly like the focus on the actual fish itself in these poke bowls, particularly coming from Australia where ours are usually 1/8 fish, 1/4 edamame and all the rest is salad. Really nice and easy serving to eat, very surprised to see products even down to the soy sauce are produced in Hawaii itself. The shop itself is a little rundown, but the food makes up for it big time.
Poke bowl here looks nice, tastes fantastic, and is very filling with a great price. The service was on the next level thank you Definitely want to revisit!!
The Ahi Bowls here are super yummy! I come here at least 1x/week for lunch. If you’re in downtown Honolulu, don’t forget to stop by here! I promise you will not be disappointed. The staff is friendly and the food is amazing ⭐️
I buy take outs at its Fort Street address. The food & people here deserve an excellent grade, the food being nicely prepared, tasty & plenty and the people fast & friendly. The person in front greets you always with the right attitude & smile. Plus, it has extended hours too to stay open. Yes, I wholeheartedly recommend most of their items. I like its brown rice & most bentos & bowls. One thing though, its unagi bowl doesn’t give you the more solid body of the fish, looks like portion of the belly only & I like mine to have the solid portion of the middle part, not just the belly or tail or what they give here.
Wow wow wow the best ahi sashimi I have ever eaten and the chicken we don’t even want to talk about it . It’s the best of all time . The freshest sushi omg . The most juicy chicken u have ever tried in your life . Do yourself a favor and come eat here

Stopped in here for the highest rated sushi around. I was happy that I did!! This place was great! We ordered 5 rolls and they were all really good. Rainbow roll, Hawaiian roll, Spider roll, spicy Tuna roll and Volcano roll. All were great. The
This is a must for breakfast. I always order the salmon and roe musubi. I know everyone comes here for the spam but these triangle goodness is the best. The line does get quite long as sometimes it takes 25-35 mins to get your food. But you know it w
A great blend of traditional and hip, serving a really unique menu of Japanese delicacies. Suggest the mac nut tofu and their signature rekkon cheese (Japanese style mini pizza) appetizers to start. The sushi selection is of highest quality. Save ro
Hands down best sushi in Hawaii. Gaku was recommended to us by our scuba diving instructor who is a Japanese sushi chef before moving to Hawaii. Every piece of sushi is prepared so delicately and skillfully. Each cut of the fish is so precise and fin
Located in the center of the university area. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. The portion sizes are huge. The menu has variety, but not at all overwhelming. I love this place. I will definitely return. PS love the hot house sake to wa
Came here to try their new Uni Special Course dinner. We were happy to taste all the different dishes that were well prepared and the serving size was perfect.
I was very impressed with Gyotaku. To start, the salad was a really delicious surprise with a much appreciated imitation crab piece. For the entree, the steak was perfectly seasoned, tender, and juicy. It came with tempura as a combo, which was a fan
They renovated not so long ago. The space is even bigger and not overwhelming like the old space. The interior made me feel like home and very refreshing. The food is still as fresh and tasty ever since. Aunty gave me a fresh banana (so kind and frie
Worth the visit! The fruit punch was delicious and we loved the crispy pork gyoza. The tonpeiyaki (pork omelette) was also awesome. It was also entertaining to watch the chef cook it in front of us and have him immediately serve our food hot. Beca
You know its a good Japanese restaurant when most of the patrons are Japanese speakers. The price is decent and this place satisfy my ikura/uni cravings. Most of the meals comes with both a rice and soba combo. Also, this is the first time I tried
Shoot was - as expected - amazing. Stunning mastery of technique, patter, and showmanship. Hilarious sense of humour, was great at working the crowd and had a lot of warmth and heart incorporated into his performance, and the story he told throughout
I have been searching and searching for great biscuits and gravy like I used to get back in Texas, and OMG these were so so so so much better than that. Did something different and went with the chicken biscuits and gravy and was happily surprised at
Ono, soo ono. If you enjoy the taste and feel of each bite in your mouth, this is the place for local, healthy, ono eats. Fresh every single time. This is the first time in my life that I have eaten at one restaurant three (3) times IN THE FIRST WEEK
