Very spacious room nice decore non smoking rooms walking distance to a grocery store and the staff was pleasant helpful clean towels and sheets I would definitely stay again. Ashley was very friendly in her approach reached back out to me when the room was ready which made my trip so much easier.

The manager is one of the most amazing people we have ever met. Me and my wife had to come here for a long duration, and it's been awesome. Great friendly, courteous staff. The rooms are great with living room/kitchen combo, bathroom and bedroom with two tvs. It comes to feel like home.

Lotta memories made here.2 years later still battling at uva. Ashley is hands down the captain who keeps this place from falling apart. She cares watched t take first steps,watched me battle n I have to say that I am really not happy moving but I'm greatly appreciative for the love,support, advice on top of daily duties watching Ashley shovel snow like a beast was epic. The nice patio just to chill n think. The rooms always clean and I highly encourage you don't mingle with the guests n all is good. 2 years it was home to me.

We were in the area visiting our son who is a Marine. Previously, we'd always stayed in a nice hotel chain, but we were always stepping over each other a room with 2 queen beds and a sofa doesn't provide much walk area. Here we had plenty of room in a spotless suite, off the highway, so it was quiet too. The grounds are well kept. The employees were very friendly and provided exceptional service. Bed was very comfortable. You do have to provide your own paper towels, dish soap, etc, but it's well worth it. We were skeptical about staying here after reading a review by someone who had a horrible experience BC of office hrs, etc but we didn't have any problems at all. Would highly recommend!

Beds are firm which was good for my back. Couches pull out into additional bed which is great for having guests. Parking is lenient. Staff is wonderful and was extremely responsive to all of my needs as a tenant. I liked having a kitchen it gave the feeling of a home away from home. It has a cost vibe but still had adequate space for my things. 5 stars!

A fairly good place to stay for a longer period of time or if a full kitchen is a must. Not too many amenities but the bed was comfortable and the kitchen/living room area was quite large. Parking was free as well, which is a bonus. My only complaint is the room had quite a strong odor of cigarettes, most likely from past tenants.

I have actually lived here for almost a year! Most rooms have full kitchens/kitchenetts. Not just a microwave an small fridge! All kitchen supplies available upon request! Yes it is very clean, quiet & comfortable ! However the very BEST thing about Affordable Suites of Charlottesville are the employees! Ashley Shifflett (Manager) is very professional & kindhearted! She goes well beyond the duties of a Manager! She has no problem jumping in and helping clean rooms or whatever! She does run a tight ship but that is what keeps this place so nice! Also Brian the maintenance guy is great too! Very prompt & efficient if you have a problem in your room! I can't say enough good things about this place! Highly recommended!

We stayed here in Mid July as a person in our party was traveling for work. We have previously stayed here before when we utilized the hospital in Charlottesville. This time, the room was on second floor which got to be a bit hard with someone on crutches, but was fine. The thing I will say about this hotel is its very loud due to having very thin walls, and having benches by the stairs where people can talk and smoke, gets to be a bit much. The room itself was clean, and the beds comfortable. I will agree with other reviewers that have posted there is a long list of things you must keep in mind, but it is more like an apartment than a hotel. The frustrating issue we did have on this visit was the keys (both) stopped working and the hotel office was closed. We had to call the emergency line and waited a half hour for someone to come and reprogram the keys. The gentleman was nice and said he wouldn't charge us since both keys stopped working(I think why would you charge a patron for something they have NO control over?) The keys were kept away from other keys and wallet specifically to make sure they wouldn't stop working, but guess that did not work either. Overall if someone is looking for a hotel type of stay for a night, this may not be the place, but if you are looking for a long term stay (last time we stayed for 2 weeks) this offers a nice space to have a living room/dining room/bedroom separated.
