A gem on Maryland's Eastern Shore full of quiet paths in open meadows and in the forest. This is a very popular place to enjoy nature and is worth a membership to help support it. If you needed a quiet walk to get away from it all, this is your place.
Native arboretum adjacent to a state park that has several trails and features to look at and interact with. Love the signs that are posted throughout the arboretum.
Beautiful scenery providing lots of resources to learn about local plants. Talk a walk on multiple different trails showing off different ecosystems on the reserve. They also do seasonal activities such as the "fairy houses."
First time visiting this place. DW and I were Geocaching. There was a couple of bus loads of kids on a field trip and they were having fun. There were a number of fairy houses set up along the path at this time of year.
Nice place to walk about. Not much to see this time of year. We were hoping for some birds. A few spotted here and there like chickadees and titmouse. We will return in the spring to see the place in bloom. Paths are easily walkable.
What a delightful walk through 400 acres of woodlands, meadows and wetlands capturing the beauty of the Chesapeake native flora!
Great stop along the Harriet Tubman route. Beautiful Flora and fauna with plenty of bird watching and a ton of information
