Adirondack Sunrise Motel and Cabins - Motel in Lake George - 2736 US-9, USA

We traveled from out of state to visit the Lake George area with friends. The area was nice, it was far enough but close enough to downtown. We booked a cabin that we thought would be perfect for our family. Upon arrival, there was nobody at the office. We were instructed that our key was in our door. The cabin was musty, dusty, and dirty. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. I’d recommend if you feel the need to stay here, bring your own pillows. The bathroom floor felt gross and I was hoping it was just a residue from a cleaning product. Unfortunately that was not the case. Our bath mat turned black from the grime on the floor. The cabin did not smell clean at all. We did not have a smoke alarm in our cabin (see attached picture- you can see the clean wall where it once was). There was tons of hair and something brown on the bathroom door. The baseboards probably haven’t been touched all season. My children’s socks were black after walking on the carpet. I believe the linens may have been changed, but the rest of the cabin was not cleaned before checkin in some time. The funny thing is, there is a checklist of items for you to clean before checking out, yet they can’t even run a mop or vacuum over the floors. The reviews and photos of this place are very misleading. I also should mention- I did bring up the issue of cleanliness via text within 24 hours after check in and I received no response and the issues were not taken care of during our stay.

Best vacation ever thanks to Sarah and Howie and the cleaning staff. We stayed in a two room cabin. It was clean ,fire pit right out on patio. It was very peaceful. Sarah and staff checked on us everyday to make sure we were comfortable. Definitely coming back next year.

We had a great time up there for bike week Close 15 minute walk to town. Nice fire pit tables to grill right outside your cabin. We stayed in 19 and we loved it. Pool was great too. The people running it were so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back to lake George and we are staying here!!! Price was very reasonable for what you get They have a full functional kitchen which was great eating out gets very expensive

We stayed for 5 nights and had a wonderful time. The grounds were well maintained, the rooms were clean, the pool was lovely, and the views were great too! Being right off the highway and we hardly noticed. The WiFi did not work regularly in our room however, which was a slight bummer at nighttime when trying to unwind after a busy day. However definitely not a deal breaker by any means. We’d certainly stay here again.

We stayed here for 4 nights! It was absolutely perfect! The location and views are beautiful, and the property is so well maintained. The owners were so pleasant to speak to! 10/5 stars we will be back!!! This is most accommodating setting for any family!

I would have given 5 stars if my bedding/comforter didn't have spots and fresh stains on them and livingroom carpet heavily stained. That was not pleasant. Other than that, cabin was fairly clean. I do live the location, it's a short walk to beach but for enough away from the crowds. It quiet here, peaceful. I would stay again. I suggest to bring paper plates and silverware and cups. Also your own pillow

I wanted to like this place except there were too many things that would keep me from going back. Outside is nice. We didn’t swim but the pool looked nice. Plenty of a fire places but 10 dollars for 8 pieces of wood is a bit much. My daughter liked the swing set. The inside needs work. Feels like 70s with painted paneling and a shotty floor job. We stayed four nights and were looking forward to leaving. The room was dirty. My daughter’s socks were black within an hour of walking on the floor. The whole place just felt grimy. Our friends were staying in 10 and found wads of hair on the floor and streak marks on the door. Our bathroom door did not shut and no locks on the door. My toddler kept pushing the door open because it wouldn’t shut. It got down to 50 degrees our first night and when we turned on the heat, it would not work. We had our infant son and 2 year old daughter and it was very cold in the room. The next morning when the office was supposed to be open at 10 I went down at 10:30, 11 and 12 and there door was locked with a sign saying to call this number. I called 2 times and both times no one answered and a full voicemail box so couldn’t leave a message. Our friends were texted by a number before they got there that they don’t need to check in and their key would be in the door. So I text that number with the issues we had. They did get the heat to turn on but setting it at 70 it was either still really cold or over bearingly hot. The door didn’t get fixed. The floor did seem to get cleaned but with how dated the room is, not much cleaning matters. Overall was disappointed for the price we paid and was a little embarrassed that our friends also stayed here because we were.

What an amazing place! My cousins stayed here 2 years in a row now to come visit us and we absolutely love it! It's so great gathering and having the whole family together. The pool area has a nice mountain view and there is so many picnic tables to enjoy! Definitely recommend! Its clean & cozy!
