Easy to moderate hike. About a 2 hour there and back walking pace. Trail runs along Adams canyon overlooking and following streams, brooks, and gorgeous tributaries shaded by evergreens. When hiking expect cooler temps around waters in the canyon and dress appropriately. The waterfall at the top is spectacular and worth the hike. Also along the right hand side of the falls when facing it, is a way up and around the waterfall itself if feeling adventrous. Though this path should only taken by experienced climbers. Bring a snack, stay hydrated, have fun and be safe!
Beautiful views, quite the workout on the up hill climb to waterfall. Our kiddos made it up all the way but I would recommend a change of clothes or shoes for the little ones as there are lots of places to get splashed.
There are little spots to sit and rest, would also recommend a littel throw blanket and lots of Water!!
It's a fun 5 mile round trip hike to Adam's Canyon Waterfall. Approximately 60 to 80 minutes going up and 40 to 45 minutes coming back down depending on your pace.
It's a beautiful and moderately challenging hike in places. Plenty to see along the trail, creek, woods, canyon views and several mini waterfalls. If you are not sure if you made it all the way to Adam's Canyon Waterfall keep going. You'll know it when you see it.
It's a great hike! Kind of steep but fun to climb.
The hike is easy to follow and not too strenuous, although it might require you to catch your breath. The trail only had a little bit of ice near the top, but it was beautiful up there, especially the ice. I recommend bringing a friend or family to enjoy it with
We really enjoyed this hike. The first part has a lot of switch backs and open not much shade, but don't give up get to the trees and it is fully shaded from there on. There a several areas in the stream with small falls but keep going you have to make it to the top.
We met the coolest dog on the trail he was quite to rock climber it was fun.
Suggest starting early to stay out of the heat on the first of the trail.
It seems to be really popular. We will definitely go back again.
Enjoy! XO
Beautiful waterfall that you can go right up to. Water cold this time of year but definitely wakes you up on that early morning hike
Great morning (or day) hike! ⛰️
Looking to get out of the house for some fresh air, then I definitely recommend Adam's Waterfall.
Things to note:
• Parking in the morning can be tough, so make sure you arrive between 7 am and 9 am. There is construction around the park, but easy to get in and out (date: 07/30/20).
• No shade until you're about .5 mile into the hike, then it's shaded 95% of the way up.
• Bring water! It may be a short hike, but in the heat you'll get dehydrated!
• Once you get to the second bridge the trail kicks up and you'll be going up and over some heavy rocky areas (some may need to use hands for stabilization).
The Waterfall:
• It may be small, but it is beautiful!
• Hot day? Don't worry the fall has a nice cool mist coming off it.
• It's worth seeing!
Beautiful trail: 8/10
Difficulty: 4/10 (I am a athlete who grew up hiking and running, take this rating knowing that)
Waterfall: 8/10
Dog friendly: 7/10
Please be safe and enjoy the hike! ⛰️
Also, for runners this trail is really nice.
What a great hike! Easy enough that just about anyone can do it, yet enough of a challenge to keep it fun! It's beautiful any time of year! Dog-friendly, you can hike, bike, or even snowshoe (from what I understand. I've never personally gone snowsho
