Ace Budget Motel - Motel in San Diego - 7058 El Cajon Blvd, USA

A friend was staying here for a couple nights. Honestly, the place had so many people lurking around in the parking lot, on bikes, foot, skateboards and as soon as we parked, people were coming outside of their rooms to look at us, peering out the windows at us and straight up being nosey. The area isn't great so this is not that surprising. Lock your vehicle even if you are just there for a few minutes. The rooms are small but other than a giant hole in the bathroom door, they were clean and somewhat updated. They were bright and well lit inside. The place is a small hotel with monthly rental rates I would guess, based on the people outside the parking lot. It's a pretty basic, no frills motel room. It has everything you need to shower and sleep. Just make sure to lock your car and your room because it's a bit scary in this area. Prices around $100+ per night.

This motel was gross. The mattress was stained, the room wasn't ready on time. One of the outlets were burnt out in the bathroom. Fan was loose in the bathroom. A little blood on the walls and floor. Air conditioner grates wee missing. And the smell was odd to say the least.

Worst motel I've ever had the displeasure of staying at. Cleanliness/Maintainence: The floor was slippery in some areas and sticky in others. The walls were dirty and there were stains around the doors. Some of the light fixtures didn't work, the TV didn't work. The trim around the sink was torn off and stashed underneath. The toilet was dirty around the base and it wobbled when you sat on it. The bed was uncomfortable and there weren't any blankets, just a thin sheet. Neighborhood: It's not as ghetto as it comes but it isn't a nice neighborhood. There were couples arguing loudly outside several times during my stay and homeless people lingering in the parking lot. I was asked if I had any drugs to sell by homeless people in the parking lot. Management: Every single night I was here my key card was deactivated, forcing me to the office late at night in an already sketchy neighborhood to get it fixed. This next part is probably the worst part for me, management apparently mixed up room numbers and gave someone else a key to MY room. I was woken up early in the morning by someone trying to open my door. Thank God the deadbolt was closed otherwise they would've been able to get in. Now, I'm a 25 year old guy so I wasn't too terrified for my personal safety, but if I was a woman traveling alone or if I had kids I would have booked a different hotel after the first night. This place was awful and I don't recommend it to anyone.

Let me be honest and post something. Before renting the room i have checked some reviews which we not good but once i rent it and get to know that the reviews about motel was wrong…. I have a great experience and the service by the frontdesk was so good specially there was an african american front desk name ken. He was so helpful and was on his toes whenever a guest needs help.

Don't get me wrong for the price it's not all terrible. But my room (108) I paid for five days, was told I'd have a fridge and microwave.....no microwave at all the TV doesn't work and I'm still waiting for some to come figure it out, no trash cans and looks like there is mold in the bathroom, the molding along the base board is falling off there is no towel rack or the toilet paper rack there is random blue and green masking tape on the TV cord and under the night stand thing, when my daughter and I got to the room it smelt awful so I had to go get air freshener, there are stains on multiple walls which leads me to think the housekeeper doesn't actually clean, when we first arrived I had to ask my step dad to wait outside till we got into the room because of the sketchy people hanging out in the parking lot and around the front office. Again it's not bad for the price but it is definitely unclean and has nefarious types lurking about. I won't be staying here again and if I'm still unsatisfied after my stay since they don't refund at all I'll be contacting the BBB.if I have to listen to this lady sit outside my room and complain loudly about her life and how everyone is the problem while I'm outside and make threats there will be a huge problem 😔

Someone pulled a gun on me on their premise I called them multiple to assist me because they had a bunch of cameras outside and they gave me the run around said the manager was not there. They told me to call back at various time and gave the same excuse to police. They are not good for the community they provide rooms for hookers , pimps and drugs dealers. Im the damn mailman I deliver mail here every damn day.

Based on previous reviews....This place definitely scored much higher than expected! 🤗🤗These guys are awesome and 4 just taking over the place 4 months ago they have their work cut out for them, but as far as accommodating....well these guys are happily doing exactly that!! MUCH APPRECIATE!! For the most part the property is clean, pretty quiet, and to be honest-in my experience....anything they can do to make there guests feel at home weather it be a short visit or long (previously stated)...their doing it!👍👍😄☺️👍👍 They have my thumbs up and We will visit again...Thanks again Sam and Noe! Really, this place is under rated. Definitely getting your moneys worth! The rooms are equipped with mini-fridge, plenty of channels to watch on tv, microwave and best of all, air conditioner that works. Place is kept clean and manager, Andy, great customer service; I arrived late night, (it was obvious I woke him up),yet Andy was polite. Overall, great experience I had for three days. Check this place out, other hotels near by are a waste of money.
