AC Hotel Fort Worth Downtown - Featured Reviews (406)
If you value CLEAN hotels this is it! We had a corner suite and whomever planned the layout of this place was 100% thinking. There is so much storage it helps keep everything feeling less cluttered and so much more organized. Staff is friendly and happy to answer any questions. We would absolutely return to this hotel and recommend to any friends. Excellent views
I’m only giving it a bad review of service because the front desk clerk walked out early and we had to wait 2 hours for the next clerk to arrive. The valet and bartender who are not Marriott employees helped us get our room and were over the top helpful when the Marriott employee was not there. Johnee, the receptionist that came in earlier than she was supposed to helped everyone amazingly even with some difficult guests. The bartender got our room, the valet helped secure our belongings and Jonhnee made sure everything was on point and perfect. Your contract workers made our stay better than your employees and I want to make sure they are recognized for their hard work and due diligence.
My sister had an event at the AC. The ballroom was nice, but the bartender lied and told the room attendant that someone brought in an outside beer. The prices at the cash bar were outrageous and I'm sure she didn't like the fact that not very many people was purchasing that expensive crap. Also the room attendant was walking in between people having conversations and was very rude. I felt like we were being monitored and in prison. It was very uncomfortable.
I will NEVER have or go to another event there again.
I have dealt with many hotels for planning events and I can truly say I have never seen anything like how these people treated us. Not only that, but we were approached by a man outside asking if we had drugs for sale. We looked nothing like we had drugs, and had our 2 small grandchildren with us.
The hotel itself is pretty good and I don't have any issues with it. However the Valet service is absolutely abysmal. |If there was a way to rate them separately the hotel is easily a 5 out of 5 stars but the hard bottleneck that the valet so graciously provides is soo horrendous that it singlehandedly is the cause for me tanking my review.||They don't consistently notify you I'd your vehicle is actually out front, if they're busy they'll take your ticket then ignore you for up to an hour if you don't body block one of the individuals nearby the key lockup. To top it all off I sat in my car for 45min waiting for someone to take my keys while there was no congestion, with 5 people working and actively getting and taking new tickets when other cars rolled up ignored me.||I generally choose to valet if I'm given the choice but when it's not optional this type of service is unacceptable.|||On a more positive note if you don't have a car the hotel itself is absolutely awesome and well worth it 5/5 as long as you don't have a car.
$48 for parking a night is absolutely ridiculous. They are understaffed and I had to wait for nearly 30 mins. The hotel is ok. Clean and all but just wasn’t my cup of tea. Lobby is cute and so is bar area. I’d stay at one of the other Marriotts in the area
First off, my family and I were displaced by Hurricane Beryl and had to drive from Houston to Ft Worth to ride out the storm. We used Hotwire to reserve this hotel because Hotwire said there was an indoor and an outdoor pool. I brought 3 kids under 7, and the pool was the ENTIRE reason we selected this place. Well, not only do they NOT have two pools, they don’t have a pool AT ALL! Didn’t really appreciate that false advertising.
Then, we all know the best part of a hotel stay is to kick down the AC to about 65 and snuggle up under the covers. Can’t do that here. The thermostat was DUMB and the room never got below 70 no matter WHAT you set it at. I had to sleep above ALL covers in my shorts to try and stay cool.
Also, the WIFI, for whatever reason, had zero service and didn’t work either night we stayed. So, great news!!! The kids had to use my phone and my data to watch Paw Patrol all night because it was too hot in the room for them to sleep too.
Another interesting tidbit, evidently it’s not a “thing” to have locking and fully functional DOORS on your bathroom in a place like this. They have a glass, sliding door, that CANNOT be secured. So, I hope you didn’t bring YOUR nosy kids or YOUR mother in law like I did. Makes for an uncomfortable experience to say the least knowing your toddler can burst in at any time and leave the door wide open for your in-laws…. Call me old fashioned but gimme a GD door with a latch in my bathrooms please!
Speaking of amenities, this place had NO CLOSET whatsoever! Just a spot over the mini fridge where you can hang a couple items from their FOUR complimentary hangers. But, fear not, the gorgeous view of the dumpsters and the sound of the garbage truck picking up said dumpsters at 8am completely made up for it. I complain, but my kids actually dug the whole garbage truck experience.
To add to that, no room service cleaned the room whatsoever the one complete day we stayed. We left the room at noon and came back at 8pm to find not even the trash had been taken out, much less new towels or linens left.
And on top of ALL of that, less the valet guys, the staff were all stuffy and rude! I paid a lot of hard earned money as a blue collar guy to try and literally “weather a storm” at this “4 STAR HOTEL” and walked away REALLY pissed off!
This hotel has very nice rooms, we stayed on the 7th floor during our visit on a Friday night. So a few things to consider before booking, If you're a cold sleeper you may rethink, the ac unit is a one speed and blows directly at the window we checked in around 4 and came back around 8 and it still was uncomfortable in the room. Our Phone had the worst screech in it. The people next door to us boomed music loud all night/morning. It was 3:30AM when I called a complaint, and it took a second call at 4AM to shut it down. I get its downtown and it's a weekend, but some people are here on business not leisure. On the plus the bed was very comfy & valet parking was small and packed but getting your vehicle they were very fast about and never took the full 15 minutes. Location is great walking distance of many things and just a nice walk at night. All in all I hope our next stay or yours is better than our first experience.
Excellent service from all employees even though we didn't have a reservation. My business What the POP Balloon Decor(Facebook and Instagram) was setting up a room for a client's birthday surprise.
So pleasantly surprised with the most incredible stay at the Sandman in Downtown Fort Worth. I chose this hotel because of the raving reviews it had. I was on work travel and it was out of the way but I am SO glad I chose this hotel.
