After a night of bad hotel, we came here to stay for a night. The room we booked was pretty nice. The space is big and very modern. I like the size of the bathroom, since it’s not cramped. The bed was pretty comfortable and the AC feels super nice. I like to sleep in a cold room and the entire hotel was pretty cold. The floor does need a little more sweeping and mop, but it wasn’t too dirty. The bed comforter did have a few holes on it; which I did not expect. The “blackout” curtain isn’t really “blackout”. The room was bright once it’s morning. I tried to use a chair to push the curtain out a little more, but it doesn’t really work. However, for the price we pay, it’s reasonable for the hotel room. I also love the service since they are real quick to answer when there’s a problem or question. Plus the hotel is located next to the mall and a few other stores that’s walking distance, so it’s pretty nice.

The check in was superb the agent was delightful and friendly. She upgraded our room to a corner king room. Appreciated the upgrade but the room was an accessible roll in shower room which we didn’t know it would be. Just usually would stay away from the type of room due to the flooding that happens In the bathroom when you shower. Wasn’t horrible when I showered but there was flooding in the bathroom floor. Moving to the bedroom. The bedroom is beautiful great view and spacious. However that being said the bed had stains on the fitted sheet. I called and requested for the sheet to be changed. The housekeeper and her supervisor came up. I showed the housekeeper the stain and that is were the hotel messed up. The housekeeper put up a face and said, “that’s what the stain is ? “ and then proceeds to shake her head. My husband asked her what she was making that face for and he response was “I’m not here to argue with you.” Him and I were both so surprised by her attitude. Usually Marriott associates are very kind and very polite. I was not expecting the sass and attitude she had. I asked the supervisor is this how she normally acts towards guest she says, “ YES YHATS JUST HER PERSONALITY. “ like what ?? I told her I can have that face as well when I go to work but I don’t I turn off my attitude and don’t treat people like that at all and especially not at work. I wish the supervisor would’ve said something more along the lines of I apologize ma’am I’ll speak with or anything close to that. Make it seem that her behavior isn’t tolerable. Marriott is a great hotel chain and that’s why I stay at them. This one bad encounter won’t make me not want to stay at Marriott but it does make me feel a little a little set back from the normal treatment I’m used to receiving. Still have another day here so hoping it will be nice !

I’ve stayed at this AC Hotel at least 4 times due to the location and every time there was an issue with the room being clean. During my recent stay, I initially had to change rooms because the tables, sofa and floor were not cleaned. In fact the floor is never cleaned properly and you can always find somebody else’s hair left in the shower and floors. So don’t dear wear white socks in the room. I hope management sees this and really look into improving their housekeeping services because it’s a major downside of staying at this property.

The hotel's location is the real star here. The cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired. Multiple days the floors were unswept and dirty. The bathroom was dirty when we checked in and the toilet lid was broken. The in-room coffee and body wash were not replenished. It's a shame because the location is fantastic. Pack some earplugs as well, you'll hear every ball being dribbled, door being closed and cellphone vibrating.

We were trapped in the Aventura-Hallandale floods, unable to get to our destination, and lucky to escape with our car functioning...we needed a last minute hotel on high ground and this hotel fit the bill perfectly. Staff were great and advised by phone that the parking area was not flooded (and tends not to flood). The last minute price was much, much better than various other (lesser) options. This is a sleek, modern hotel, and is highly recommended.

Second time staying here, here are the good and bad. ||Good: convenient location for either the Sawgrass Mills Mall or Amerant Bank Arena. Room with balcony was fine, bathroom on par, TV worked well. Staff very friendly.||Bad: hotels offers no courtesy or pay van to the Arena which is a tricky walk through the parking lot and/or mall. Had to catch an Uber home after the game at a cost of $38 for a mile trip. GM said too cost-prohibited for shuttle service. Also, a bit noisy as we were hearing doors slam and people above moving chairs a lot. In addition, there was the lack of signage. For example, we had no idea food was served in the lobby bar in the evening until we saw chicken wings arriving for one patron. There was no visible menus nor indications at the bar for such. Finally, the floor definitely needed a mopping. Our feet were filthy after walking around inside the room. ||The place also came across as penny-pinching in several aspects:||1. Only the smallest of bottle of water provided in the room and it was not replaced. |2 No clock in the room, good thing we always bring our own travel clock.|3. Continental breakfast was $16, that's fine, but for others who just wanted cup of coffee, it was $4. You should have seem the look on one guy's face as he departed being told he must pay $4 for his coffee. That is cheap, an urn of coffee is free at lots of places.||So, in the end, if we are to return to Sunrise for one game, we may stay here or we may opt for a better hotel some miles away. Preferably one with a pool.

Bad experience! We’re Florida Residents. I was at the hotel today (about 6pm) and I couldn't check in. I made the reservation online on a partner website of the hotel, I paid in advance the total of U$238.19 and they did not locate my reservation. The lady who attended us was very rude and said she couldn't do anything for us. We called the company we made the reservation and we spent 45 minutes trying to solve it but we couldn't. We were tired after a long trip and a full day of sightseeing at Sawgrass Mills. We wanted to stay and unfortunately this very rude lady did nothing to help us. I presented to her the confirmation of the reservation that arrived in my email even so she said THAT I COULD NOT DO ANYTHING BECAUSE THERE WAS NO RESERVATION IN HER SYSTEM! Unfortunately we had to go to another hotel and now I'm staying at the Hyatt chain but here everything happened normally. I have photo and video of when my wife and I were at the reception on the phone so much to solve. This is the rude attendant who welcomed us! Terrible!!!

We took the Brightline down from Orlando for a Panthers playoff game. The hotel was nicely decorated with NHL playoff items and Panther support. Plus, perfect location to walk to the stadium. Great customer service, clean an awesome stay and the Panthers won :) We will come down and stay here again for sure.
