The tall guy at the front desk was awesome and always had a smile. Very helpful. Time were clean and neat but no drawers to put clothes in so we were living out of our suitcases. Bathroom shower was great! But only one towel hook. The mirror lighting was dim as well. 9th floor rooftop lounge was awesome. Much bigger than we thought and service was great. Overall we loved our stay here and will definitely be back.
I will start by saying that my husband and I love Marriott hotels and stay at them very often when traveling.
However, I will not recommend this particular hotel. The bed was like sleeping on a door with some slight padding. The overall layout of the room was decent, but there was no place to unpack my clothing (other than the hang-up stuff). I realize that a lot of people live out of their suitcase when travelling, but if I am going to be somewhere for more than a couple of nights, I prefer to unpack my clothing. Housekeeping was not very consistent in refilling the coffee supplies - the sweeteners and stir sticks.
While the tapas at the rooftop bar were mostly really good, the breakfast menu was horrible, IMO. My husband typically does a breakfast buffet if one is available, but he scouted the one here and wasn't impressed. I usually order 'a la carte', but their menu contains nothing that I would consider to be 'normal breakfast fare'. After the first morning, we went elsewhere for all breakfasts. The one good thing about the breakfast restaurant is the free Starbucks coffee.
They do have a garage for the guests - $20 per night - though the spots were all a bit tight for any midsize or larger vehicle.
From check-in to check-out, AC Hotel Asheville Downtown felt like we were at our away home. Everyone, especially Nic and Elya, who were at the check-in desk, were helpful and truly cared about our requests and that we had a great time. And we did, thanks to Nic and Elya and the entire team at the AC Hotel Asheville Downtown.||Also want to say that Nic and Elya were professional, approachable and understanding. Both were committed to making sure our stay was the best ever - they definitely succeeded. From greeeting us everytime we entered or left the hotel, to answering any questions about the hotel amenities and the town of Asheville, they were knowledge, informed and freely gave this information to us. Nic and Elya truly made our stay at AC Hotel Asheville Downstown unique and special. Can't thank them enough!
Great Hotel with best location! Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was also great! |Had an issue with the TV in our room and manager more than compensated us for inconvenience!|The staff was very professional and the parking was reasonable and supper convenient. Nice outside sitting area
This hotel was great! Location is perfect and staff was very good!
Ann from maintenance was very helpful, I had car trouble and she helped a lot. We were able to make the rest of the trip BTW!
Julissa helped when our bed was uncomfortable. Not all beds are the same, so if yours is uncomfortable see if they will let you switch rooms.
Will and Krista at the front desk were also friendly and helpful!
Surprisingly good hotel. Great location in the heart of downtown Asheville. Pretty much easy walking distance to anything in town. Really friendly hotel staff and a super cool rooftop bar and restaurant make this a great place to stay. To top it all off there is onsite parking with easy ingress and egress. Overall, very pleased.
Everything would have been perfect if it wasnt for the fact that it felt like we were staying in a kennel! People leave their dogs in the rooms and LEAVE so one day we had a non-stop barking dog across the hall and the second day we had a howling puppy next door. They compensated us for 1 day but it doesnt change the fact that is was extremely disturbing. We have dogs and love dogs but a Marriott IS NOT THE PLACE for pets! Ridiculous new policy IMO. People go to relax not be subjected to other people’s inconsideration. Have a floor designated only for pets or change your policy.
We met family here and had 3 rooms with other family member throughout the hotel. We also had a small dog. They did whatever they could to accommodate us. The front desk, Julissa and others, really went above the required and did so in a friendly hospitality service oriented manner. The restaurant staff as well. The rooms were clean, well appointed and the location made it very easy to get around and enjoy Asheville.
Amazing hotel! Loved the history of the buildings, how they were integrated into the design of the hotel. Service was impeccable, champagne at check-in, heaters while waiting for valet, complimentary Tesla to take you downtown, and the Lounge has l

This place is so great. Everything from the indoor fireplace, to the hot tub just outside the bedroom, to the HEATED FLOORS in the bathroom (not to mention heated toilet seat and bidet, even a heated towel rack!) They take it a step (or twelve) furth
Great experience! From first reaching out with general questions, to a quick and easy process of getting signed in to classes. The owner was great with communication. I walked into the 4:30pm class with Coach Donivan and with three years experience m
My wife and I enjoyed a two night stay over the New Years holiday weekend. We very much appreciated the attention given to the suite and the magnificent breakfast presentation each morning.
Our hosts John and Susan were not only attentive but cordial
I was hesitant getting a spray tan because it had been years since I had one! Hannah made me feel very comfortable during the whole process and was a master at what she does. My tan turned out great and made me feel so amazing in family pics! She was
Canât believe I just found this hidden gem not far off of Thompson Street! One of the few coffee shops open at 7 am with a variety of coffee/espresso based drinks, hot cocoa bar, and breakfast tacos.
Got a dirty chai and egg/cheese burrito - both
