The food and service at Abel’s is all exceptional! Our group ordered lobster rolls and lobster bisque for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed both. We tried lobster rolls at a few different spots on the island and this was by far the best! We also really enjoyed dessert. The peach cobbler is more like a peach cake. The apple cinnamon cake was our favorite! We waited about 45 minutes on a rainy Saturday night to get seated as a party of 6.
Great location and very cool vibe inside. It felt like a family cabin inside with all the wood paneling.
We had the Old Fashioned, Nee England IPA, oysters, whole lobster, and blueberry pie. All were fantastic and the service was very friendly and attentive. Abel’s was probably the best dining experience we had while we were in Maine. Can’t recommend it enough!
This is such a cute little spot. Great view, great service and food is to die for!! We had the lobster chowder, fish sandwich and blueberry pie…so delicious!! David was our waiter and he was the best! This place is a must go to when your in the area.
After driving 3 hours, we were starving! There was a line but we didn't have to wait very long at all, thankfully. The service was great and the hake was amazing. I'm not a fish person and I've never heard of it but I thought I'd give it a try! Delicious! The portion was huge as well! Don't forget dessert, blueberry pie! YUMMY!
Beautiful setting, varied menu, good service.
Lobster tasted fine but was full of water and short on meat. Lobster roll was good, corn juicy and tender.
Prices pretty high in comparison to other places.
Now THAT is a lobster roll! Full of flavor and attention to details but no fuss, even the bun is on another level. Best in Maine so far. Seating outside with views of the little harbor and the wood fire smell doesn’t hurt either. Same goes for the blueberry pie, the maple whipped cream could be plated alone, the flaky butter crust… everything just right! They even have wifi which comes in handy with the bad reception around there. Joyous find!!!
We went there twice during our short trip at Bar Harbor. Great food, view and service! The blueberry pie was delicious and not too sweet. Lobster chowder was also good. Love the crispy fries in fish and chips.
Incredible experience as a whole. The food speaks for itself but, on top of that, the setting was the icing on the cake and the service was the cherry on top for our experience at Abel’s. The service was fantastic from the moment the hostess first greeted us. She was a sweetheart. Our server Jane was very helpful and friendly as well. Would recommend this spot for anyone who wants immaculate eats, and then some!
GO HERE!! It is SO worthwhile - our group of friends in our mid/late 20s all stopped by and truly enjoyed every moment. Mr. Haynes gave us a fantastic tour, enlightened us on the history of Maine and its quarry industry, and even gave us souvenir pie
For an exhilarating experience in Acadia National Park, I highly recommend tackling the scenic trail offering breathtaking views of Jordan Pond from the summit. This trail presents a moderate challenge and can be completed comfortably in 1.5 to 2 hou
We were looking for a place to eat our lunch and Otter Cove Causeway was perfect so we set out our camp chairs and enjoyed the zen. On one side of the road you have a view out towards the Altanic with high cliffs rising up and on the other you have
Great little beach and warm lake water. It's perfect if you want to swim and the sea is too cold (which is probably always the case). Very few spots of shade so bring your umbrella on hot sunny days!
My first trip to this state and I'm so glad I found this place! My camp site was amazing, next to the water with gorgeous views! I rented a kayak & paddled around in the sound, absolutely beautiful. The gentleman in the office was friendly, helpful &
This is a beautiful little spot, we were blessed with a impromptu bagpipe concert the third day in a row that we came. If you were hoping for a history of the area, it is more of a history of ecological developers of the area. I was hoping more for
