Absolutely phenomenal! Hands down, one of my favorite restaurants. Even though it is classified as a steakhouse, they have some amazing seafood dishes as well. My favorites being the lobster club and the jumbo crab meat cocktail. Great quality, fresh, nicely seasoned food. The service is always great as well. You won't regret it!
I believe next time I will try sea food and lobster dishes from the menu I don’t recommend in general steaks in Boston! I tried onion soap : the best ! Steak : can’t say more than 7 out of 10 Place vibes are great - service is fantastic People are lovely and smily : staff are working as a happy family! This is why you feel the atmosphere is warm
This is my favorite steakhouse in Boston, we have eaten here a handful of times over the years and have always had a fantastic overall experience. This place is always packed mainly because the food is great. Most of all, though, I absolutely love the dark wooded decor in here. In any event, we highly recommend Abe & Louie's. It's a great spot in the heart of Boston for a special occasion meal.
We were recommended this restaurant for high quality American food. It was really good and the food was delicious. I would recommend their onion soup 🍲 as a starter. There is a good selection of dishes on offer. The price range is on the higher end averaging $40+ but the quality matches it. The staff were nice and the interior has a classic feel to it. Overall, a 5 star experience and food. I recommend you visit if you want a good steakhouse.
UGH. Incredible ambience and just an amazing place to look at. Abe and Louie's shines through with the rich flavors of their french onion soup as a starter leaving a lasting impression of how decadent it is. Their hot buttered rolls were just incredible. I could eat 100 of them. Me and my brother ordered their boneless ribeye which was a complete masterpiece of tenderness and taste. As dessert me and the family shared a chocolate cake and creme brulee. 10/10 for each dessert. Outstanding flavors. The restaurant has a classic and upscale ambiance, with dim lighting, dark wood furnishings, and an inviting atmosphere that elevates the dining experience. 100% recommend for any steakhouse lover.
We stopped by with a group of four to A&L for a couple of drinks, but the bar was completely packed, absolutely no space we made the great decision to have a couple of appetizers and get a table. The manager was a bit hesitant with our change of mind and decided to give us a table. The wagyu stake was delicious asparagus and potatoes. The staff was extremely attentive and helped with picking out a bottle of wine as well as clearing the table. The atmosphere was classy and overall pleasant. My only two let downs were that the first batch of oysters were absolutely delicious! The second batch was not. way to salty and definitely not the same quality as the first batch. They tasted more like dollar oysters from the pub. The second was a bit strange. I personally do not mind a loud and talkative restaurant. I believe it gives the place life and atmosphere. My friend was working on a video edit for A&L and a staff member that we had not seen before. Maybe another manager came over and told my friend to turn her phone down. If it was too loud, I could understand, but I was sitting across from her at the table and could barely hear it over all of the people talking around us .
Good food is not enough for Restaurant to be good. To be really good, you need a good management. All businesses, no matter the business, or the industry has hiccups at some times. When we entered Abe & Louie’s restaurant, we were very impressed by the ambience. The restaurant has the feeling of expensive private club. The table across from us got this 40 ounce tomahawk steak that looked mouthwatering delicious. We were not so fortunate with our experience. We had ordered earlier that day clam chowder soup at the restaurant next-door, Atlantic seafood company. It was the absolute best clam chowder I’ve ever tasted in my life. It was absolutely phenomena! Our waiter. Bobby explain to us that they were owned by the same company, so when we order to clam chowder soup we were expecting something similar. Before I go further let me mentioned something about our waiter Bobby. He is Boston through and through. He has the absolute best accent. We enjoyed liked hearing him talk. We think they should someone should hire him for a movie part. He just reeks Boston. Anyways, getting on with my review. Unfortunately, we were disappointed because the clam chowder we ordered had thick smoky flavored bacon in it and the soup tasted like bacon. We don’t recommend the clam chowder soup. if you want, phenomenal clam chowder, soup go next-door to the Atlantic seafood House. Anyways, we mentioned to Bobbie our waiter, about our disappointment and he sent over his manager, Kate . Kate came over and we explain to her our experience, What an amazing way she handled everything I don’t want to go into all the details, but Kate genuinely cared about service, and did everything in her power to to make us happy. She sent to our table this cake. It was to die for. There was three of us and we ate this chocolate cake with ice cream and had leftover cake to take home. My goodness, next time I’m coming in I’m ordering this cake I don’t know what it was other than it was just amazing chocolate cake with ice cream that melted in your mouth and made your brain go crazy. like I said, a good restaurant is more than good food. And with people like Kate, you elevate the restaurants reputation,. I have a business with several employees. I know firsthand people like her are hard to fine. you can’t train people to be sensitive to the needs of customers. You are are or you aren’t. Believe me. she’s got it going for her! She has emotional intelligence.
Enjoyed a beautiful meal: Lobster Dumplings (mopped that sauce with good breads) + Pear & Goat Cheese salad to start, Filet (perfect med-rare) with broccoli + mushrooms for entree, Butterscotch Bread Pudding + Chantilly cream to send us home. I'd take every one of those bites again. No regrets.
Good steak and cooked great. Great seafood tower with fresh lobster. The potatoes were okay but a little too soupy. The greenbeans were nice and crispy. The dessert wasn't great. Donut with a side of sauce and a cannoli but wasn't fresh. Overal
