A Lady Winnette Cottage - Featured Reviews (27)
Really enjoyed my stay with Suzi! Super sweet host. She is so friendly, attentive and welcoming! Cottage is cozy and adorable. My bf & I stayed in the harbor room and had amazing views. Stayed here because we wanted to go into salem and the cottage is only 15 mins away - staying with Suzi is what made my trip as I found Salem a bit underwhelming! Suzi is very knowledgeable of the area and overall just fun to talk too. Breakfast consists of fruit, tea/coffee & pound cake that is super yummy. She also would offer to take us into Salem if we didn't want to call ubers. I would definitely recommend and hope to be back!
A Lady Winette is truly a gem! Suzi was such a humble, charming host who made us feel at home from the moment we walked in! Beautiful cottage overlooking the harbor. We stood in the Harbor room overlooking the water. Gorgeous scenery, comfy bed, and yummy breakfast. Ample private parking. Salem is close by. Our stay was just lovely and we’re so lucky to have experienced our trip to Salem by staying with lovely Suzi! We would definitely return.
Stayed at Lady Winette Cottage in Marblehead MA. We had a wonderful time. Suzi Davies was our hostess. She was so helpful giving us ideas of where to eat and what to see. With Salem being so busy, she directed us to places along the coastline. Her B&B was quite charming. The Harbor room had a private deck overlooking the harbor with 3000 boats. We stayed one night in the other room called the Garden Room with a most comfortable king size bed and view of her garden. We loved staying with her at her B&B.
When looking for places to stay for our vacation to Salem I came across “A Lady Winette Cottage” and instantly took an interest to the adorable atmosphere it gave off from the pictures online. I immediately called Suzi and booked right away. She was such a delight to talk to on the phone, and I knew it was going to be a great stay. When arriving Suzi wore her mask, and went over the COVID guidelines she had set in place for her establishment. She gave us a tour of the house, and although the stairs were very narrow, it is easy to make due. The bedroom we stayed in was very pleasant and had a breathtaking view of the harbor. The bathroom is shared with Suzi, but it is very clean and has a beautiful blue sink which I found interesting. Suzi was a great hostess and we got to know her very well, to the point where she felt like family. For breakfast we had fruit with store bought bread, which was quite delicious. Suzi even took the time out of her day to drive us to one of our sights for the day, and made sure we were safe constantly. A Lady Winette Cottage is perfect for a trip to Salem, or even just staying in Marblehead! I would definitely visit again!
Let me start by saying suzi is a very very sweet person. However there is somethings that are not listed that you should know. Like if you stay there and another couple stays that you don’t know y’all will have to share a bathroom. The bathroom has carpet in it that is kind of gross considering it was wet from who knows what our shoes got wet. The shower had a bar of soap that looked like it was used that was gross. It’s listed as a bed and breakfast but the breakfast she ONLY does at 8!!! And consist of a loaf of bread she said is homemade but you can tell it’s from a store and some fruit. She served me a glass of water that I couldn’t drink because it had chunks of black stuff in it which I’m thinking it was probably mold.. the place needs a deep cleaning badly!!! Bugs, dust, and cobwebs everywhere.. I will not recommend staying here.. I honestly feel dirty after staying there. Even tho it was a short trip..
Suzy is very welcoming and makes you feel like a long time friend. Her home is charming. I stayed in the harbor view room and enjoyed sitting on the roof top deck in the evening star gazing and watching the twinkling lights across the harbor. I was in town for a wedding and when I was about to walk the short distance to the wedding, Suzy insisted on driving me. I was wearing heels, so was happy for the offer. That's what I call service! Suzy is very caring and wants to be sure you are having the best time possible. I loved my stay with her.
Suzi was a great host during my one night stay at the cottage. She was kind and gave a warm welcome to my girlfriend and I. We had a pleasant conversation about the cottage and the area around Marblehead. She offered a delicious breakfast the next morning.
I’d recommend considering staying at the cottage and meeting Suzi.
My husband and I came to Marblehead to stay near Salem over Halloween. Suzi's cottage is very close to Salem with plenty to do nearby. We didn't know what to expect, and had never stayed at a B&B before, but our experience was so sweet and lovely all thanks to Suzi. She is such a sweetheart and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable, cared for and had a full itinerary for our stay! The rooms are lovely and quaint, beds were comfortable, balcony had beautiful views and we really enjoyed the fun and colorful decor. Our favorite part of our stay was getting to know Suzi, hang out, and learn more about life in Marblehead. She even accommodated my need for a gluten free breakfast by buying us some delicious muffins. We wish we could have stayed longer! We didn't expect to have such a personal and lovely experience - we left with a friend! We will definitely be back.
Calm and serene atmosphere with ample seating space. The weather was great when I got there and I got some great pictures of the ocean and the lighthouse.

Simply the best Greek food Iâve ever had! The appetizers; octopus, cauliflower, zucchini chips and the fried cheese were super good. You must try the lamb shank. It was delicious. Dessert was amazing too. The service was amazing.
Very scenic spot located directly opposite Marblehead Lighthouse at opening to Marblehead Harbor. The fort is what remains of the earthworks, plus a bunker not currently open to the public (doors are open, but gated you can peek in)
Some nice spots
Best meal EVAH! First time here and we will definitely be back. Loved the Thai soup made with coconut milk and chicken along with bang bang shrimp. Then grilled rack of lamb and spicy beef dishes.
I visited this place as I have family in the area. Incredible is the only way to describe this place. Amazing food, great prices, and Tom is THE MAN! We had a feta and pepperoni pizza. The crust is like nothing I have had anywhere. The crust was crip
Having lived in Wakefield and enjoyed being within walking distance of that location, we were excited to see they had a Marblehead location after we moved to Salem. Hubs bday choice was to try them out:) On January 17th.
It was a dark slow Tuesday
The location is absolutely perfect. Really cozy outdoor seating with a fantastic view. The food was great and served by a very friendly waitress. Wanted whole lobster but they sold out the day before so we had grilled and fried scallops along with lo
