A Great Notion - Karaoke bar in Fort Worth - 2024 Ridgmar Blvd, USA

Been debating on making this post after being banned from here, but the world needs to see this. This place is like a bad version of Cheer's. They only want to serve their friends and create problems with everyone else. Very rude bartenders. Very rude guest (their friends). Sometimes you will even see the owner up here drunk. They over serve guest and, if something dumb happens, they blame it completely on the guest. At times if you pay in cash they will say you didn't pay your tab. They will cut people off just for getting on their nerves (as someone else in this industry, none of the staff here would survive even one shift at a corporate establishment). The rating they have here on Google is not correct. I live across the street from this place. The word of mouth in the neighborhood here agrees more with my opinion. Also to the staff at Notion, I am not hiding behind my Google name. This is Michael McPhetrige. I live across the street. If you run into me I have no problem with saying all or more of this to your face. Update to the owner reply (Ed). I paid for my own Lyft and called 911 twice. I have proof of both. I only know this because of phone records. Again, you over serve guest then blame it all on them. Ed everything you responded with happened because you served me to the point of blacked out intoxication. I barely remember anything from that night. And if you want to go get other opinions please contact TABC. See how they feel about how y'all conduct business

The atmosphere was great. The drinks were great. The bartender was fantastic. However, the karaoke DJ is a really nice guy, but his sound system is way too low, which makes the experience not fun at all. I mean, when you're having a great time and the drinking starts, you have to keep that vibe going or start building it up. Overall, we still had a good time.

This place has wonderful energy. The bar tenders are friendly and the karaoke is fun and light hearted. Would highly recommend stopping in!

Very very well thought out place - with a dying downtown night-life they pigeoned holed themselves with a rather restrictive dress code and formal-occasion-vibe. This contradicts their “thing”: an 80s kareoke bar downtown. I arrived (as a bald man) and was told to “check my hat.” I’m a bit naked without it and had to turn them down for a night of fun. The atmosphere. The building. The people all seemed wonderful though. Would surely be a great idea for a party. Just heads-up on the dress code unless you rock a cowboy hat while not riding a horse or a (tacky) fedora.

It is a really nice place. Food and drinks. If you want to save money, this is the place to look for. I would happily go back!

Didn’t serve food. Karaoke starts after 9pm, late start for my old lady bedtime, but lots of fun.
