*****Safe, renovated and very clean!***** If you are looking for a safe and clean place to stay during a trip to the Keys in Florida, I highly recommend visiting A-1 Budget motel. The rooms are renovated, in good shape, the beds are comfortable and the cleanest we have had during our entire trip through Florida. Also the manager is a fantastic person, he will do his best to make you feel at home and will give you the warmest welcome! Thank you so much, we will most likely return!

My wife and I booked this hotel last minute, we were pleasantly surprised. the room is contemporary in style, with a home-like feeling. Bed was big & comfy. We had no issues at all. The area is very quiet. Customer Service was nice. this place is nothing fancy but it does the job. We would recommend this motel to others.

This location was convenient to our home.Reservation was booked online at a very low rate for the area.The outside of the building neat and clean.There were no problems with checking into the room.The attendant was polite when he was called to our room because we could not turn on the tv. He was able to turn on the t.v. after a few tries. I was skeptical about the bed as the room it self was not the best vibe. On a positive note the bathroom was awesome and seem to be remodeled.

My review goes out to the owners of this motel: |Come on! You could do SO much better than this! The room looks ok with quite good interior. Everything in this room badly needs a GOOD wash, cleaning and maybe some painting. Hang up some new curtains. Get rid of the floor carpet or at least give it a rinse once in a while! |The shower does not get warm, though the sink does and the bathroom needs to be taken care of overall.|Put some effort into this and you could actually get good reviews and a lot more (happy) customers! |And please stop the smoking part!

I usually don't write reviews and wish I know how to upload photos onto here to warn people to never stay at this motel. Once you are checked in there is no refund. After checking in I found live and dead bugs all over the rooms and bed. Don't let their pictures fool you. Everything is old, and nothing works. The girl at the front desk claimed that she didn't know anything, because it was her first day and that there was no manager around. I find it hard to believe for a girl to work alone at the front desk on her first day. In any event, I still lost my money even though I didn't want to stay at such a nasty place. I ended up going to Courtyard Marriott and loved it there. Don't book here, because you will lose your money and have to go somewhere else. They would not refund even if you show them pictures of their rooms with bugs.

In all honesty it's not the nicest but they are exceptional customer service. The reservation from Priceline never came in but he honored it anyways. It was peaceful and very very quiet. I had left my light on in my vehicle and it drained my battery. They were generous to let me stay extra hours till I had it repaired. I cannot say enough good things about it.

The place is an older motel BUT Has been updated and the owner Sam is working on it 5/9/19.. we paid $55.00 a night for two nights. It was clean and the floors are new and the bathrooms are new and nice! There is a car wash about 100 yards from the intersection that does the best car wash ever got all the live bug off 20 bucks. Look for the F-4 PHANTOM JET. ITBIS IN FRONT!
