Great addition to Quincy. Lots of parking, and the inside is pretty spacious as well. I am able to find most things here, but sometimes I need to go to H-Mart or Kam Man to complete my grocery shopping. Tried the tiramisu cake today, and it was very good. It was the perfect amount of sweetness, which is what I love about Asian bakeries. It was also quite moist and fluffy.
It’s a drive from where I live, but this is my goto Asian market in the Greater Boston Area. Always have good deal on Live lobster and blue crab. Fresh vegetable section is also good. Good selection, fresh and reasonably priced. This place surpasses a lot of other Asian market in town in terms of environment and shopping experience. It would be great if this place can improve its frozen food and condiment section.
I had an unpleasant experience at the 99 Ranch Market in Quincy, MA. During checkout, I was actively bagging my own items. However, when my child ran off, I momentarily stepped away to find him. When I returned, I noticed my items were mixed with the next customer's due to the cashier not pausing to ensure my items were clear of the counter. I kindly asked the cashier if she could assist with bagging, and her response was extremely rude. She pointed out the long queue and stated she had been busy without a break. While I understand the pressures of being busy, a simple courteous request for me to bag my items would have sufficed. There's a basic level of respect I expect as a customer, and this interaction left me disappointed. I would definitely not recommend this store. Very poor experience!
It is easy to get in but so hard to get out. Very long line both when check out and drive out of the plaza. If you buy over $50 today, you get a 5lbs rice bag. If you register the 99 + you club, you get 4 "Want want yogurt drink". Vegetables are fresh and much more variety than other market in the area. Baker's corner and hot deli looks delicious. I've just bought, still not try. Seafood looks fresh. Other products are similar with Hmart or Cmart but have some promotions for grand opening and for member. Overall it is a new experience for Quincy, just too busy for the first day. And it is Chinese friendly since some staffs only can speak Chinese.
Super busy. Long traffic line. Long cashier line. OK price, not many thing is useful on sale. Employees is not English friendly. Wide choices of vegetable. Clean market because it’s new. Hope it keep up in future. Bad restroom. Hot food bar inside.
My wife and I went to this super market in hopes to find some Asian ingredients. We did find a lot and loved how clean it was in comparison to some other Asian supermarkets! However, I would have liked to see more Chinese snacks.
After many years of seeing these supermarkets on the West Coast, am definitely glad to see them branch out with the first New England location in Quincy. As noted, this is in the former location of the Big Y supermarket and so if you have been here before, the layout is pretty much the same. The large selection of fresh produce along with hot eats, bakery, seafood and meat sections make this place an instant hit in this area. This is a highly welcome market that is clean and neat. You will feel welcome here when you walk in. Just like any supermarket, they have various promotions each week on a variety of products. If you plan on doing lots of shopping here, do suggest you follow them on social media and sign up for the rewards program. This place accepts mobile payments...which is a definite plus. There is a wonderful Mings seafood restaurant next door that offers dimsum. Many like to take advantage of a good meal and then grocery shop here. Come see and experience what 99Ranch is all about and see what they have in store.
Great choice of seafood and fish, some are fresh but choose ones that still in the tank to be certain if you can't tell. Many varieties of sources, sauces and Asian products. Los of fresh vegetables are good prices. One of my favorite groceries.
Very helpful for delivery of Balikbayan box (via LBC Express). The lady in charge was extremely helpful to me. Although not my reason to visit, I noticed a wide selection of Philippino food favorites. They accept a standard "large" Uhaul box; sea shi
