98K Hamburger - Hamburger restaurant in Pittsburgh - 5867 Forbes Ave, USA

This may be one of my new go-to places in the city for fried chicken. They're pretty transparent about the longer wait times for some items, but oh man, it was worth it. Gorgeous, huge pieces of fried chicken, served hot and juicy with a satisfying crunch. We ended up taking a bunch home because the portions were larger than anticipated, which is my favorite problem. We'll have to get something saucy next time to see if that's the extra kick we're craving.

Good price and the fried chicken taste really good! We order the couple meal on Friday. The chicken sandwich is larger than expected in a really low price. On Friday, they also have special event (spend 20 or more before tax to get six pieces of chicken nuggets).

Been going here off and on for about a year and I really enjoy the food! I haven't explored every item, but the chicken thigh burgers (not spicy and spicy) are extremely good. The cod sandwich is also very nice! The fries are great. Other fried sides have hit the spot and were quite nice. The rice bowls are a very filling and nice fast good for those that prefer rice to bread. Many more items to try!

Ok let's touch on the few positives. 1.) Large seating area 2.) A public bathroom. 3.) Fairly cheap for the area. Ok let's talk about the food, it's trash and a terrible value for what your paying. The budget patty meat was so loaded with filler and had a weird texture. If you have ever had those Walmart burgers you get frozen that have been premade and come in boxes of 20 these are the same as those aka garbage. Cheesey fries, the served the cheese cold not sure if that is how they always do it but congealed cheese from the can is nasty. The chicken thigh sandwich had a very weird texture and was rather unpleasant overall, it was rubbery like calamari and looked like it might not have been cooked for very long. Whole fried chicken, this was average on par with KFC but nothing special but it was presented well. Leaving disappointed and my stomach is a bit upset.

Tried this place for the first time tonight. It's a burger and chicken sandwich place with some Asian influence that sort of lives between fast food and fast casual. The spicy fried chicken sandwich was tasty, I loved the crispy and light batter. The fries were also good, they were slightly crispy. I definitely recommend the Szechuan chicken fillet and the wings were also pretty good, especially the fried ones. I'm sure I'll find myself visiting here again some time.

Best chicken sandwich around if you're open to something different from any of the fast food chains! They use dark meat (thigh) and Asian spices like five spice, so it's juicy and has a different flavor! Crunch is similar to a Korean fried chicken style and if you prefer a whole fried chicken, be prepared to break it down yourself. Despite "hamburger" in the name, go for the chicken -- the "couple's set" is the savviest deal for two people!

Super good spicy chicken wrap with really spicy chicken, cucumbers and a spicy white sauce. Very different and delicious. Fries are fresh, crispy and super good dipped in a side of the thai sauce! Very nice chill cozy atmosphere. I will absolutely be coming back.

Best fast food fried chicken burger in Pitt for anyone who likes spicy chicken. Food: I ordered the spicy crispy chicken thigh sandwich with spicy crispy wings. I have also ordered the nuggets and the crispy chicken wrap. Both were great. The fried chicken sandwich is similar to spicy Zinger in KFC in India. Price: Very good value for money when held up against McDonalds and Wendy's. But I would skip the fries at 98K. Service: Service is always friendly. They have good offers on free items on different days. Ambience: It's a fast food place so minimal but seating is OK.
