I was looking for sone authentic Vietnamese food while i e New Oeans but it ended up not what I was expecting. We ordered phở đặc biệt and grilled pork rice plate. The pho was kind of bland. The rice plate was ok. The good thing about this place was their big portion. Service was ok, just like any other Vietnames restaurant. They brought out the food and never came back until you've asked for the bill.
We had a decent to good meal here while passing through. Food was fresh, nicely presented and service was fine. Menu prices weren't too bad. Interestingly enough the bill had a cash price and a card price (about 3% more). I'm not sure if this is a local practise, I haven't seen it before.
Love the food here. Anytime I get to the West Bank, I make it a point to stop in either for lunch or dinner. I love the lotus delight salad so much that if I don’t eat one in I order one to go. The Chinese dishes are fabulous, but their pho and Vietnamese dishes are exceptional. If you have an eaten here and you love, Vietnamese food, I highly recommend you give it a try.
We reserved a large room at 9 Roses to host our wedding rehearsal lunch. The food was delicious and the waitstaff was attentive. We worked with the owner to come up with a set menu for each table. We loved the caramelized Louisiana catfish! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend 9 Roses for a private event!
I recently dined at 9 Roses and was transported to Vietnam through their authentic dishes. The caramelized catfish had a perfect blend of sweet and savory notes. The pork and shrimp spring rolls showcased a delightful combination of flavors and textures. The egg drop soup provided a comforting start to the meal. The attentive staff and welcoming ambiance added to the overall experience. If you crave genuine Vietnamese cuisine, 9 Roses is a must-visit.
I love how this place has a lot of variety and options when it comes to authentic Vietnamese food! It makes eating family style so much easier because you can order multiple entrees to please everyone’s preferences. My favorite has to be their hot pot. Very large portion and flavorful. Lots of veggies and protein for reasonable prices! The remodel of the interior is more modern compared to years ago, but the bathrooms still need some more up-keep. Service is okay, but relatively decent for this type of restaurant. I try to eat here once in awhile especially when my family and friends want traditional Vietnamese food
I love 9 roses!! I come to this restaurant every month. I highly recommend the egg rolls, orange chicken, and shrimp fried rice. The food is always hot & fresh.
WOW this place has probably one of the largest menus of anyplace in the New Orleans metro area!!! It isn't as large at it used to be but it is still quite extensive and includes items I've never seen at other restaurants in the area. They have abalone soup, various versions of pho, Chinese, Vietnamese, and several other Asian dishes thrown in for fun. The only complaint I've got is they don't offer jasmine tea like several other Vietnamese places do (maybe they do and I just don't know how to order it). I see more Vietnamese people eating here than just about any other place I've eaten in the area so maybe that means this is a really good authentic Vietnamese place. I really enjoy the food here and it is a really good value and actually just a downright cheap place to eat with fantastic food.
