This is potentially my favorite restaurant in Austin. I’ve visited multiple times and have never been disappointed by the food. Always delicious. There’s a bit of a wait on occasion, and they don’t take reservations, so plan accordingly. The service could be better at times (specific individuals). Other than that. it’s always a good experience overall.

Greeted as soon as we walked in, clean, no flies, food was Hot & delicious and worth the price. Tea had fresh lemons and we were given a glass carafe with tea for self serve. The waiter checked on us frequently. We will be back

I enjoyed their chicken pad Thai. First off, the portion is huge; I don’t think I even finished half, so it would definitely be smart to share. I was worried the sauce would be spicy because there was a red chili pepper symbol next to it on the menu, but it wasn’t that spicy (like a 2 out of 5). I appreciated that they asked if I preferred it with or without onions and peanuts. I ended up getting it with onions and without peanuts, but the onion slices were quite big, so next time I think I would get it without the onions too. I was also impressed by their extensive menu. Someday, I’d love to try their pho.

Went for a late lunch here and got seated immediately. Our waitress Sally is amazing. She recommended us items from the menu based on our interests and provided wonderful service throughout. We ordered Spring rolls, Steamed dumplings, Pho and Red Panang curry. Everything tasted so good and portions are huge. Would love to try more options from the menu. Will definitely be back!

"888" is like my culinary sanctuary! The food is a flavor fiesta – the General Tso's chicken is sweet and spicy poetry, and the veggie stir-fry? Freshness explosion! What's crazier? Every time, it's consistently mind-blowing. But it's not just the food; it's the vibe. The staff rocks! They make you feel like you're dining in a friend's kitchen. No stiff formality here – just good food and good vibes. "888" isn't just a restaurant; it's a tasty escape where every bite feels like a high-five to your taste buds!

I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant! The food was not only delicious, but the portion sizes were generous, which was a pleasant surprise. My favorites had to be the chicken lettuce wraps and the General Tso's chicken - they were simply amazing. But it doesn't stop there; the other dishes we tried were equally delicious. It's clear that they take pride in their culinary skills. One thing to note is that they can get quite busy during peak hours, so it's a good idea to make a reservation or plan your visit accordingly. The wait staff was incredibly attentive and helpful throughout our meal, which added to the overall positive experience. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food and excellent service!

The food here is sooooo tasty. The first time I came was in mid October. I had general Tso's tofu, tofu springrolls, and wonton soup. Everything but the wonton soup was delicious, even then the broth was very good, but the wontons had a fishiness that I think was beyond normal. The general tso's tofu was one of the best I have had of that dish. There was a lot of food, I had brought my own container to go, I had enough leftovers to eat two more times. As for the service, it is really hit or miss for me, when I walked in no one came so I wasn't sure what the protocol is here, so I went to the counter, the person who I asked about seating was not kind, and when I asked about sitting outside they told me I had to order to go. I guess those tables out there are not theirs...or something, his response about it was very harsh. I wound up sitting inside and the person who took care of my order was super sweet and attentive. I almost left after the counter experience, but I am glad I stayed. The next time I came (at the end of October) I ordered tofu and veggie pho. It was verrrrry good. The person who took care of my order was ok. I will definitely come back. I would probably be going back more if the service was kind and consistent, at this point I get anxiety about going, so it will be a while before I return. But the food is so amazing. Also, I don't know who posts the menu on behalf of their business (the one that is posted by the restaurant itself) but that must be an outdated digital file. The prices are better reflected in the paper menus that people have posted. If you're thinking of going, gooooooo. It is so good. The service will probably be great for you, it is worth the risk. There are a lot of workers, and they are just humans, we all have our days, so I try not to complain about service, but I wanted to be honest.

I have had curry all over Austin and nothing has come close as to what I used to have in Hawaii until I came here! I had the green curry with tofu, and let me tell you…. IT WAS LITERALLY THE BEST CURRY I HAVE HAD IN AUSTIN! I have been living here for 3 years now and did not expect it to be this DELICIOUS! You could literally taste the love that was put in this food. Perfectly balanced and filling with great portions. Service was amazing and staff is super friendly. I will be coming back here more. Highly recommend!
