This fusion Korean restaurant should be a must try spot in NYC. They have stellar food offerings with creative yet delicate and flavorful dishes. Their grilled pork, seared scallop, noodle with uni, octopus, clam, and tartate are all delicious. The matcha x yuzu drink is definitely enjoyable. They're accommodating with our altered reservation so definitely a pleasant experience overall.

Service at the bar and management were really sweet!! Came back a second time to try more dishes and was welcomed warmly, their octopus dish is still my fave from the menu. Their vanilla ice cream topped with parmesan is also a fun one to try (the cheese flavor isn’t too strong).

Went here on a whim Saturday night because my girlfriend and I felt like Asian food and the wait for Thai Diner had a 2 hour wait. Sometimes the unexpected bath can be the best, and it was certainly the case here. 8282 now has the honor of being one of my top 3 favorite places in the city. The service was great, and the food was both interesting and delicious. Try the octopus - and just order a bunch of small things. I’ll be back!

I love everything about this restaurant. We were curious to try this restaurant after seeing a few viral videos online. We didn’t have a reservation but they sat us right away by the bar area. The bartender is very thoughtful, kind, helpful and very friendly. She made sure we liked every single drink we ordered. The star of this place has to be the food. Everything we ordered was delicious and arrived in timely manner. We weren’t too hungry so we ordered only 2 plates and they were both phenomenal. We highly recommend the scallops and the hanger steak (both were succulent and juicy) I will come back again to try more dishes but I’m extremely happy with what we got. It’s a small restaurant but it felt very nice and cozy. Service was really good, too. They took the time to explain the menu and gave us plenty recommendations even though they were busy. Thank you for an amazing dinner! We will be back soon. :)

I had a high expectation before visiting so the food ended up not meant my criteria that well. Overall good, some little things could’ve be improved but ❗️definitely get the steak! Our favorite dish that night. ✨Top 3: Steak, Boneless chicken, Injeolmin ice cream Detailed review for each dish below. The ⭕️fried Korean Chicken was a heavy one (taste) but delicious. Crispy skin with juicy meat. The radish on the side really helped refresh the gooey taste from the sauce. I recommend have it with the chicken together. The cheese tteokbokki was rich but the rice cake was overcooked, too soft. Plus, for some reasons, there was a stinky taste came out as we were finishing the dish. We figured out it was the iron pot they used, a fishy, irony taste went over our the food remained on the pot. Clam Sujebi was good. Sujebi was chewy and doughy, better than the rice cake I mentioned above. The soup was salty so we didn’t think it’s easy or necessary to drink it. Unless some rice or bread at the side with this dish. For the scallop barley, I appreciate the four big scallops on the top for sure, but I felt they didn’t necessarily combine well with the jjajang barley under. Jjajang tasted salty and artificial for me.. like packaged jjajang sauce from big chain factories. I had been living in South Korea for a while.. so I had great jjajang dishes before and know how it can be made better and has richer flavor. And the ✨✨✨steak. No complaints for this one. Well cooked meat with various kinds of side sauce and creamy smashed butter squash. Last, for dessert, I also recommend the 💛🍨Injeolmin ice cream. It was not too sweet and the cheese on the top balanced that taste. A hint of saltiness went well with the ice cream. My friend didn’t like the cocktail she got which was the plum pear one. She said she didn’t taste any pear flavor inside and she was a little bit disappointed.

As of Dec. 8/23, my partner & I have been to ~20 fine dining restaurants (10 listed on the Michelin guide). Of those, 8282 is my absolute winner in every aspect... it's honestly, probably even my most favourite restaurant of all time. We were there on Nov. 9/23. We had 3 anju, 2 banju, 1 dessert, & 3 cocktails between the 2 of us at $200 USD/$275 CAD, before tax & tip, & left quite satisfied. Dish after dish, we continued to be surprised. While the ceviche didn't leave as strong an impression, every other dish (the tuna tatare + kim bukak, grilled octopus, jjajang bori-bap (w/ black truffle), hanger steak, & injeolmi ice cream) delivered a much-welcomed slap of flavour! However...! What really made our night was the service & staff, especially Kat! She was friendly & genuine, & you can clearly tell that she loves everything about her job & 8282. She happily told us more about the dishes & drinks that we especially loved, & even offered to make my partner a different drink when she overheard that it wasn't quite the flavour for him (though he did appreciate the mixture). Super glad I happened to walk by this spot the last time I came to New York, & was able to give it a try this time. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in NY... Well deserved bib gourmand!

We came to 8282 for dinner after seeing it mentioned in the Michelin guide. Though not Michelin starred, I felt the food was still exceptionally tasty and surprisingly filling. The interior is quite cozy and intimate which may be a con for some, but on a Friday night I felt it made for a lively atmosphere. We ordered the tuna tartare, ceviche, haemul sot bob (seafood rice bowl/not pictured), grilled lamb chop, and LA ibérico pork galbi. For drinks we had the Aloe It’s Me, gochujang margarita, yuzu pear tequila perilla, and blackberry hongcho kiss. The tuna tartare was an amazing first bite and start to the meal. The tuna was tender and fresh and came with spicy mayo on a crisp chip. It had a touch of citrus juice on top which made it extremely refreshing. A definite must-try. The ceviche was tasty but definitely the weakest of the dishes for me. The fish was sliced sashimi style and came with leche de tigre and a purée that I was not personally a fan of. I liked the fish however. The lamb chops were extremely tender and flavorful. They came with a sort of Korean army stew like salad which surprisingly worked well together. I was surprised and impressed with the amount of seafood in the haemul sot bob. It came with a variety of seafood, including uni, snow crab, and cod, and a umami filled kimchi like sauce that really brought out the flavor of the seafood. Easily one of the best dishes of the night. Lastly, the ibérico pork rice was surprisingly large in portion. It came topped with seaweed on a bed of melted cheese which added a great umami and creaminess to the dish. The drinks were pretty good too. The blackberry drink reminded us of a blueberry gogurt and the margarita was tasty. The tequila and Aloe weren’t bad but I could go without them again. Overall I was satisfied with the flavors and amount of food during our visit. Tapas style restaurants tend to be on the more expensive side but I felt that I got a better value here than most other places. I would happily recommend those Korean food lovers looking for a special night out to try 8282.
