8 Inn - Motel in St. Petersburg - 1201 34th St N, USA

My wofe and I take impromptu trips on weekends. This motel was the fairest priced and had vacancy. The woman who helped us check in was really nice. It's was quiet. Only shortcoming was the linens, a little cleaner and updated linens. We will stay again. Thank you.

Came down for WWE Royal Rumble. Many other motels had already filled up, but thankfully they had room. Was greeted by Eric, who was a lovely concierge when we checked in. Also they have a cat, which always makes me feel positive about any business. Our room's TV did not have channels, but we just plugged in a laptop for entertainment. The fridge and microwave provided got some use and were handy. In addition to two beds there was also a futon couch/bed that didn't look super comfy to sleep on but could be useful in a pinch. Seems like there are some residents living here. They're friendly, but if you're looking for anything approaching fancy this place may put you off. Everything is a little shabby, but works fine. For the price I was mostly satisfied. If you're just looking for a room for not a lot of money you'll probably be satisfied. When we checked out Eric was not around. His parents(?) checked me out and it was a bit confusing. They asked to inspect the room and requested I wait while they did so. I went to tell my friend in the car, and Eric's dad(?) yelled for me, thinking I was leaving. I explained that it was very unusual for them to require you wait for them to check the room. They do charge a deposit. It is a very small deposit, granted, but if they have trouble with people messing up rooms this is an odd way to handle it. Anyway, it was easy to get from here to the Trop using public transport, and it is near everything we came for. May try someplace else next time though. Wouldn't be mad to stay here again

Indian lady very nice an absolute joy, rooms are dated but for the most budget friendly motel

The rooms are really dirty and smelly. The staff is nasty to my husband and I. They would not allow us in the office because we were soaking wet from the sudden rain storm. They told us to come back when you get dried off. We had reservations, they still didn't come in and get our key.the whole place was disgusting,even Wendy's next door was cleaner and nicer then this staff. So please don't go there.

It is an economical place that is close to shopping and not too far from downtown.

Had roaches in room and lady did not discount the room

Older building, but our room had updated flooring, an incredibly clean and comfortable bed, and a nice tv. We interacted with three members of the staff and all of them were fantastic. Definitely don’t let the exterior scare you off - they could certainly be charging more, given what a pleasant stay we had.

They are very nice people but I wanted to stay again the next day and I was told I couldn't because they had bug spray people coming there and the bug people never came. The room I had was very nice, roomie, and on most part very clean considering where it is located at. They need to pull future and bed out to clean under them. Thanks 8-Inn for a good night sleep. Will go back to stay again.
