7-MILE Pinecrest Resort - Featured Reviews (36)
We had an amazing week long stay in Cabin #1 and plan to return again next year! It was absolutely beautiful, clean, comfortable, and peaceful. Communication was super easy and Doug was very helpful! Our kids enjoyed swimming, the paddle boards, kayaks, and sand toys, shuffleboard, the rec room, the swing set, and searching for rocks. The whole resort was so much fun, plenty of things to do even on rainy/cooler days. Couldn’t ask for a more relaxing and refreshing time away!
7 Mile Pinecrest Resort began operating as a rustic hunting and fishing camp before the 1900's and has been going ever since. This is a perfect northwoods get away spot. It is not luxury by any means, but the cabins are clean and kept in good working order. To me, the older feel to the place adds to its charm and appeal. There are no TVs or phones in the cabins and it feels good to "disconnect" for a week. There are 16 cabins on the property and many of them are original from the 1930's when it was a boys camp. I would highly recommend the cabins closer to the water. Nothing beats enjoying a cup of coffee on the screened in porch in the morning while overlooking the calm lake. The beach is very large and very nice. The perfect place for kids to swim and build sand castles. Cabins are very reasonably priced. I can't say enough about the owners of the place. They stay onsite and make sure the needs of their guests are met. If anything needs to be fixed or needs attention in the cabin they are right on it. They have a large number of repeat guests year after year and if you spend a week up there you will see why. It is the only cabin on Sevenmile Lake and half of the lake is bordered by national forest, which gives it a wilderness feel. Highly recommend for a northwoods retreat.
26 years ago my wife's parents, 5 daughters, 2 sons-in-law, and 8 kids gathered at 7-Mile for a week. We have returned every year since, adding sons-in-law and more kids. We have stayed in several different cabins over the years, all clean, well-kept, and enjoyable. We look forward to continuing the tradition for many more seasons. The hosts are friendly and quick to take care of any camp needs that arise. The kids have found the game room an attractive place to gather, and the clean beach, beach chairs, and picnic tables add to the fun. We have frequently spotted loons, otters, deer, eagles, (and chipmunks!). Restful and relaxing!
I am a seasoned traveler and have been coming here for 25 years...that really tells it all. This resort has 16 cottages and is located in the middle of a national forest. The tranquil setting on Seven Mile Lake is the perfect location to recharge. There is something for everyone and all ages from fishing, swimming, basketball, tennis, volleyball, hiking, and exploring as well as an indoor rec room with ping pong, games, and pool..||||The cottages have electricity and water so they are not primitive but are not luxury either. They are exactly what I would expect. All are 2 or three bedroom with showers and a well equipped though small kitchen. All have a screened porch which tends to be my family's favorite spot. Stationary grills are provided but we bring our own. Bedding is provided but kithen lines are not.||||The owners live on site and are very visible and ready to help with whatever you need. The grounds are very well kept and the beach is large and great for kids. Everyone looks forward to the nightly camp fire.||||I would highly reccomend this location for a Wisconsin Northwood experience.
We wanted a short little get away to do some fishing and just relax. This is a very nice place to go in northern WI. Fishing was not very good, still too cold, but the cottage and fireplace were very comfortable and hosts were great.
Everything you need is here at Pinecrest Resort. Beach access with pier, paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, floaties, raft, and more. Fire pits for nighttime relaxation. A recroom with tv, board games, and ping pong. We even found a route for our morning jogs and long bike rides. It was our first time here but we all agreed we hope to make a yearly tradition.
Beautiful, peaceful lake, sandy beach. Wonderful proprietors. Mix of modern cabins and traditional, "up north" style cabins. Highly recommend!
I went to this resort as a child and have many great memories. I recently revisited the resort and it was very nostalgic. I enjoyed meeting the owners and seeing how things have changed, yet have remained the same. This is a great location to build memories and enjoy Northern Wisconsin.
We have been staying in the Redwood at Maplewood for many years and the cabins are always clean and comfortable. The resort has a great beach, piers and views of the lake. Sam and Andrew do a great job taking care of things. Great family vacation s
Both the Hiker Box (Wall St.) and the Hiker Box Too (Railroad St.) have great items at fair prices for all outdoor enthusiasts. Jessica and Tom are also so helpful- they really went the extra mile to ensure that I got the best fit possible on the ba
A little pricy for a cone/cookie dough! The place was packed. No seating inside. Another family tried to cut us in line halfway through ordering. Good ice cream and cookie dough. Kids were happy.
This place smells delicious! Lots of coffee to choose from if you're looking for coffee to prepare at home. We ordered the Screech Owl and the Eagle River Mudd Lattes with oat milk. They were excellent and definitely a place I'll be coming back to wh
