7 Gables Resort - Restaurant in Anaconda - 150 Southern Cross Rd, USA

Terrible experience here!!! Made a reservation on May 31st 2024 for a stay July 17th-19th 2024. I received an email the morning of the 17th stating that the key to my room would be in the screen door of the room. We arrived at 6pm on July 17th 2024, we checked the screen door and there’s no key and the place is deserted. The Bar/restaurant had a sign on the door dated February 7th saying they are closed for repairs. We attempted to call and no one answered. I replied to the email I received that morning stating I couldn’t find the key, hours later I received an email simply asking if I had found the key yet. By that time, I had already found another hotel and replied to asking for a refund. I have yet to receive a refund.

Went to visit this place b/c we have a reservation for next mont, for 2 nights' stay. IT was closed. Locked up with a padlock. No one notified us, and the business does not answer its phone. They already ran my credit card for the cost of the stay. I want to cancel my reservation and i cannot find on their website any number or email to use to contact them to cancel and get a refund. The phone number listed on their website does not answer. There is no cancellation option on their website either.

This place is so disgustingly dirty. We went one afternoon because I was told by the owners they cleaned it up. I’m not sure what they cleaned up but it is disgusting. Everywhere you look it is disgusting. The guy took our order but I think he forgot to turn it in or something. We waited for over an hour for our food then when everyone else in there were fed he realized we hadn’t gotten ours. No apology or anything. The buffalo chips or so they call them are not what you used to get….they are like a homemade potato chip….no potato in them whatsoever. My kids ordered chicken last week while they were at the lake and while they were having a beer and waiting they literally watched the bartender take a few appetizers off of a plate that was for a customer and eat them before he gave it to the customer. The dog running in and out took a big poop in the so called dining room and they just cleaned it up and went on with business. Should have been closed and cleaned the carpet. I was told the owners aren’t even from around here. They came from Utah and they are hardly ever sober. They sure have ruined a great little business. 🤮

We didn't stay at the resort but ate dinner at the dinner. We had great service. The food was great. I had the mushroom Swiss burger. It was delicious. Our party ordered the garlic cheese curds. They were the best I ever ate. The prices are reasonable for the area. I would recommend this place to eat. We would go there again. It has a great view of the lake. There are tables to go sit by the lake and enjoy a drink and beer.

Fantastic restaurant right next to Georgetown lake! A perfect place for a burger and beer after a day at Discovery!

This place is made by its people and service. Food in the bar is good and hearty. Breakfasts are really good. I would advise against staying the night here though. They turned off the water the night I was there and try en apologized for doing so the next morning. While rooms are clean and not uncomfortable, my mattress was fit into a waterbed frame, so getting in and out of bed was interesting. If you are into these kind of “I can’t believe it is happening” experiences than this is the place because the people who work here are kind, gracious, helpful and down to earth.

Dirty and rude! We walked in and were rudely greated by an old man who was a customer. There were empty tables but were still dirty from the last customers which had left more than 20 minutes earlier. We never saw the server or bartender anywhere. Dirty, dirty, dirty. We won't be back! I'd rather eat at Famous Dave's or the Red Light Garage, where I got food poisoning. The only good thing about the place was the gorgeous dog walking around the parking lot! Oh and the giant chicken statue out front!

The five of us shared the 20-piece chicken dinner, which included sides, for $46!! Cooked in a pressure cooker not deep fried. This created a crispy skin with no heavy breading, resulting in an extremely delicious and probably healthier piece of juicy chicken. The service was awesome. Nice hometown atmosphere and hospitality. I highly recommend if you're in the Anaconda area!
