A little pricey but the coffee we got tasted good. They also have a good list of flavor options. Other drinks besides coffee include tea, fresh juice, lemonade, sodas, milk, hot chocolate, and some other canned and bottled options. For food they have some sweets, wraps, and sandwiches. Staff were really nice, patient, and made our drinks quickly. The store was clean and the atmosphere was nice.

Great place to study and relax! The coffee and atmosphere is good. It has lots of tables so people often study and chat here. I spent an amazing afternoon here study with laptop.

There smoothie is a must, refreshing and tasty. I choose grapefruit, blueberry, and yogurt, which is a perfect blend. Once I taste it, I feel the sweetness and sour taste from fruits. Then, the bitterness of grapefruit kicks in. The texture of yogurt adds a nice end of the taste, so I feel the clear juice first and end with a denser yogurt. A quite nice blend of both texture and flavor. It also comes with a large glass cup, so you can enjoy it for almost an hour.

I went in for smoothies and they were out of almost all of their ingredients. I tried asking the barista what they recommended of the ingredients there were and they just shrugged and said they didn’t know. I don’t blame the staff; they did the best they could with what they had. But in the end I walked out with two undrinkable smoothies (they tasted like plain Greek yogurt with no fruit flavor at all). I had to throw them away. It would have been better if they had just said that they couldn’t make smoothies and turned me away.

This place is a Pittsburgh icon. The vibe is right. It's an established gathering place. A good spot to do some work, or meet up with a friend. I wish the food menu was a little broader. I really don't want sweet baked goods, like cookies and cinnamon rolls. A breakfast sandwich would be nice, but that's my problem, not the establishment. Stop in. Relax. Have a nosh. Have a discussion, maybe.

Great atmosphere! This cafe is the perfect place to do work or catch up with a friend. It wasn’t busy at all when I went on a weekday morning. The baked goods were delicious, but the chai was not very good. The employees were kind and welcoming. I would definitely return, but get a drink other than the chai.

The staff was friendly. The food was just okay. The breakfast wrap was woefully under seasoned with just eggs and canned salsa. The pumpkin spice latte had to be a black tea bag with some milk. It was very watery and there wasn’t even a hint of pumpkin flavor.

This is a solid enough spot, but nothing extraordinary or even especially well executed. It being cash only is a bit of a drag, as are the abundance of rickety chairs and tables. Of greater concern though are the acoustics: the space is small, packed with the aforementioned tables and chairs, and lacks proper consideration for the way sound bounces about. If it's busy or even remotely trafficked, be prepared to hear multiple conversations stacking upon either your own or the music pumping through your headphones. Should anyone order anything steamed, you're going to have a hard time concentrating on any other sound. The green tea latte I ordered was tasty, but not particularly memorable. Credit where credit is due: it is a really good spot to hunker down and do some laptop work for an extended spell.
