Extremely rude. I went in last night to get a drink and a snack after a long day. I went for a couple of cheaper options, figuring if I didn't have enough to cover the total that I would put something back when I got to the counter. When the man at the counter started to check out my items, I had already given him my card thinking that I could just put something back if I didn't have enough. He didn't tell me the total before he swiped and charged my card (didn't get an opportunity to put in my PIN) and this left 68 cents on my total. I did not have any change whatsoever on my person or any other money. I told him I would be more than willing to put an item back. Before I could finish my sentence, though, he cut me off saying "I already charged you". I apologized and repeated that I wouldn't mind putting something back. He waved his hand in my face and said "Go. Leave. Get out." And walked away from the counter. Needless to say, I'm not going to come back here. I would have put something back or even returned with the remainder of the balance, but the cashier decided to be rude to me instead.

My favorite mini Mart in terrace. The liquor selection is pretty good for a small place. Employees are always really laid back and friendly

Update to my original review (from 5 years ago) Yet another terrible experience. Any and all attempts at decent customer service are long gone. This store takes it's regular customers completely for granted, and literally acts like they could care less that you were there supporting them instead of going to the 'store'. Their service has become straight up unfriendly, consistently bordering on rude. They advertise 2/$4.5 deals but they don't automatically apply, and only the owner even remembers to honor them. For being a rundown neighborhood business entirely based on reselling from Costco wholesale, they are Extremely entitled for no reason! Sad.

Super friendly and kind, plus they have a great selection. Wish this was in my neighbourhood!

I'm very appalled by the Manager's insistent disrespect upon entering. I wrote a review last year that obviously hasn't had any impact on the Manager's conduct toward the homeless in ML.T. I'm one of those who constantly buys from Chris and Kim's 56th Corner Market on almost daily basis when I have money to do so which is about 3 out of 4 weeks a month. When I don't have money, I don't normally go in. If I do, it's for hot water. Chris and I haven't really had any problems from 2007 till now, but he confronted and incessantly harangued me about constantly coming in for water over the last 2 weeks and even showed his true attitude towards the homeless as being against them in the process of haranguing me. Normally, I'd ignore this, but after bringing a selfish and biased attitude toward a class of American citizen, that's the end of my tolerance for such disrespect. Must be nice having a business, making money, having a wife and car, not having the struggles of surviving on the street because of outside uncontrollable circumstances. I'm not homeless by choice of my own. If it was up to me and I didn't have the roadblocks in my life I do, I'd already have my own life in Japan married to my fiance, kids, large feudal era house, and a permanent job.

Very friendly. They have a little bit of everything!

Two problems: 1. Cost of the items are marked up beyond reasonable market retail value. Example: Ritz single packs are $2.29 (w/o tax). Compare to Rite Aid, Safeway, and other major grocery stores of lesser price such as $3.49 for a 4 pack box. 2nd problem: Chris, the owner and G.M. runs through purchases too quickly and seems in such a hurry to get a person out of the store as quickly as possible making the friendliness and service experience highly unprofessional. Variety of product is a little short to, but it's a small convenience store so that's understandable.

Great playfields and a nice size parking lot. Conveniently located on a main road. Signage is a little lacking and I always thought it was connected to the church next door.
